I believe the word you are looking for is prominent, and yes, it will either be castanic or elin, but not by a huge margin.
Ex-RO player here. Stay the hell away from my guild emblems above my head. Much fun and hilarity can be had if you know what you are doing.
Meh, I don't mind the changes, elin are still adorable. /cheer, /laugh and /sit will never get old.
You will start making money a lot faster the more you level. Doing quests between 20 and 22 made me around 200k. Each run of bastion makes you something like 40-60k, not including any of the rares you might get to sell if no one in the party can use them. Those go for 100k+ each.
Remnant of the korean client where they actually have daily limits on play time for children. I think you just need to stop taking these reminders so personally. Trust me, the game client isn't calling your maturity or responsibility level into question, it's just giving a friendly, health based reminder. If you want to show it who's boss maybe see how high of a number you can get and take a screenshot of it.
I've never seen an MMO that restricted classes bsaed on gender. Some restrict class based on race, WoW being the most prominent of those, but never based on gender. TERA in particular doesn't restrict any classes, all races and all genders can be whatever class they choose.
If you look at the little portrait avatar on the race selection screen the male high elf looks more like a female than the female high elf does. It seems pretty appropriate then that they are the slender, shirtless (always goddamn shirtless) sissy boys of the tera universe.
Couldn't stand the way castanic run, especially the females. If their arms didn't wave around it might look a bit better, like dark elves from L2, but the way it is now looks ridiculous.
I can deal with elin cuteness overload because it's just so exaggerated that it's a joke in itself, just like poppori riding horses. My main will likely be human or elin, depending on the class.

All that matters is some skills giving benefits to attacking from behind and some ranged classes having a "sweet spot", usually around 10 yards, instead of always being max range.
I've not had any problems with heals so far, though, for people having problems with people stacking I really recommend the glyph that gives an extra lock-on target to your heal. As long as you have one other ranged class besides yourself you will just end up targeting all the people stacked and not have to worry about missing the tank.
Also nice to let your tank know how the heals work. For the longest time my tank friend thought the small AoE heal only healed while he was standing in the circle instead of giving him a buff that persisted even if he moved out. Now that he (and the melee dps) know that in my group I can drop one right in the middle of the boss and they will all run in to get the buff and walk out. That way I they all get HoTs rolling with a single cast and also means I can stay at the boss's side and farther away.
Only problem I seem to be having is always being second threat (I guess bosses hate healers, go figure) and they always seem to take their anger out on me right as I get into a cast animation I cannot cancel.
