Pretty much the same reason I bought TERA: because it reminded me of Monster Hunter which is one of my favorite series. I wouldn't call it an RPG though, although it does have some RPG elements.

I learned about TERA a couple months ago when a friend posted about it on facebook and asked if I'd be playing. I wasn't initially interested, but after I found out that more of my friends were going to pre-order, I decided to look up some videos, and saw that the game play was reminiscent of the Monster Hunter series, which I totally adore.
I started during CBT2, and have since decided to join my friends here on SI.
