After you use Knockdown Strike, It will apply a 8 second buff that increases Whirlwind damage by 25%. The buff will go away after you cast whirlwind or after 8 seconds after you casted Knockdown Strike.

So, you can pretty much cast anything you want in between. So yes, You can Knockdown Strike -> Overpower -> Whirlwind and still reap the benefit from the glyph


Overpower > Whirlwind

2. not so much since the guild im in has less then 50 members but are all pvpers. people might say this makes it fair in gvg because guilds with lower numbers have an easier chance of winning. well thats not true, i have never seen a orginized battle declined from anyone in guild whether it be 1v1 5v5 or more while gvg is going on.


n°2 is mostly to stop people from creating alt guilds to feed kills to your main guild.

Well sadly it dosnt take into account guilds like Epeen and Aphotic that just warred on there ALT guilds.



You have no idea what's going on outside your PvE instances, sir.

Epeen and Aphotic declaring war on alt guilds to feed them points? HA HA HA HA.

Now that we have the new leaderboard feature, you need to make sure that people doesn't take advantage of the current GvG system in order to make their way to the first place.

With the current GvG system, you just need 1 kill on the enemy guild, then you can hide in town/instances for 24 hours and win the GvG.

How to fix that?, some examples:

1) Get rid of the timer and introduce a kill cap, whoever gets 100/200 kills wins the GvG. You can always surrender if you don't want to fight anymore.

2) In order to declare GvG your guild must have 50 or more members.

I still have no respect for Aphotic members. Never have I seen Man Up being a cowardly little [filtered] in GvG, whereas I have never seen a fair GvG with Aphotic. Aphotic hides in town and only come out when they're positive they have the upper hand.

All in all, Apho is more br than Bloodline and needs to move away to BC so we can all enjoy the peaceful week this has been without their and Bloodline's presence.

Oh and just go away, Devour, pretend like you never saw this post and stop trying to post your boring [filtered] retorts. You're not cool. People don't care. Just. Fade. Away.

And let me clearify my meaning of peaceful, not having roving gank squads of apho and bloodliners. Just normal pvp...you know, the kind where you can actually fight back and have a good time.


And here comes the trashtalk...

Sometimes aphotic wins, sometimes man up wins, it's pretty even imo.

You will never see a pvp video where the main character is losing, many ppl understand that, there's no need to trashtalk to prove anything.

They make me look terrible in that video, i just find it funny =P

I've been trying to make suggestion of how to fix PvP in this game, looking for opinions from the comunity about the problems we have ingame. At the same time trying to convince my friends and my entire guild to stay in this game, telling them that EME is going to listen to us, these people just want to hear EME's opinion about the issues with PvP, before moving to other games...

No response, locking threads because of trolls instead of editing their posts, and absolutely no answer about the problems we have in the game.

I'm done being patient, my guild decided to move to a different game after this terrible week in TERA, i guess i'll just stick to them because i can't do anything to make things better, they will just lock our threads with no response, pretty much telling you to shut up.

I care about this game, and i want to read what ppl that actualy care about this game have to say, it's not fair to lock it just because of ONE person that decided to trash talk, you can easly use your moderator power and edit his post.

There are too many problems with this game, EME can easily fix them, i'm trying to report them and you lock the thread?, come on...
Dear players in PvP servers:

a) If you want to avoid death in GvG, drop tag.

b) If you want to win a GvG, zerg 1 person of the enemy guild and hide in safe zone for 24 hours, or just drop tag.

c) If you want to win Vanarch GvG, just cheat!, or talk to an opposite guild and feed each other!, or make one of your friends join the other guild and feed your friends!, no need to PvP for it right?

d) If you don't want to PvP, just buy teleporting scrolls in the general merchant and speciality vendor, you can play all the end game content of this game without leaving the safe zone.

e) If you want to do your daily quests and avoid PvP, just change channels and you will be safe.

f) If you see an enemy close to you, use unstuck.

g) If you are alone and vulnerable and somebody wants to kill you, don't worry!, safezones are everywhere in a Arborea!, just run a few meters and you will be fine.

h) If a group of PvPers are flagging looking for some real PvP, don't worry, you can always log in with your lowbie character and stay in front of them while they kill people, lots of infamy wohoo!, if they don't want to attack you, you can attack them and die by the reflect stat they have on their armors!, repeat until they get bored of you and they leave the zone.

i) People from the opposite guild dueling outside the safe zone? (there is no colision in safe zones), great!, time to wait for them to finish the duel and kill them while they have 1 HP!, you can always just step back and hide again in safe zone when the job is done.



Dear people that actually cares about PvP in PvP servers:

a) Wait for the only BG (15v15) that is going to be released in 1 or 2 months, run it 100 times and get bored of the game again. Yes, only ONE BG, amazing huh?

b) Move to GW2, amazing/incredible/stunning PvP content, terrible combat system.

All my friends and the good players i know are moving to a different game, they are all tired of the lack of PvP in this game, we all agree that the combat in this game is THE BEST, but the combat itself can't handle the lack of PvP content.

TERA is the best template for a MMORPG, you just need to add the ###### PvP content!, it would take you 1 week to make some amazings BGs, many of them, but for some reason you guys don't do it...

There is absolutely NO incentive for people to step out the safe zone, the end game open world areas are empty, just port from safe zone to safe zone, run the same instances over and over again, do you want to PvP sometimes?, you just can't because there is absolutely NOBODY out there.

Release some BGs, make people go outside the safe zones with a new game mechanic, DO SOMETHING BECAUSE MOST OF YOUR PLAYERS ARE BORED OF THE GAME AND THEY ARE JUST WAITING FOR 2 NEW GAMES TO RELEASE!, don't wait for them to leave, you need to realize that you need to do something about this, right now...

I love the combat in this game, i hate the lack of PvP, i hate the fact that all the people i know are moving to another game soon...

Take out my quick daily quests and make me farm mobs? WTF? Lol no. People do need a reason to be out there, but that's not the way to go. I do not want to suffer through hours of PvE mob grinding just so I can PvP.

Although there's a second part to that. Once you get out there, why will people kill each other? I mean me, yea I'd go after almost anyone. But I have learned that sadly not everyone is like me. People are afraid of getting a bad rep as a PKer, some are afraid for political reasons, some just see no reason to kill a guy unless they already don't like that guy or that guild. People need incentive because apparently people don't actually realize how awesome FFA PvP can be. They need a reason to go kill everyone in sight. Factions make it easier for people - he's the enemy because game lore says we're enemies and hey, he's already red too. I'm supposed to kill him. But a factionless game where everyone is on your side? People struggle with that idea.

Give them PvP points and rep towards these new BG vendors perhaps if they participate in OwPvP. Maybe also add in a vendor that lets you buy advanced glyphs for participating in OwPvP. Would have to come up with a system to prevent exploits but I'll leave that up to the devs.


I understand your PoV, some ppl don't like to farm mobs, but this could be "one" of the many posibilities to make ppl go out and PvP. (and the easiest one to implement imo)

This works with GvG, your guild declares GvG battle to other 3 guilds, then you just go to these farming areas looking for some ppl to fight with. All the big GvG battles start with a few ppl fighting each other, then they call more ppl until the entire guild is out there willing to fight.

You can still do dailiy quests in other areas for vanity items and zyrks, if you want jewerly you can farm them in FoK and BT.

You can find this jewerly in the BG vendor in the QoA2 update (it's a fact, confirmed by ppl playing in K-TERA), this would be one of three ways to work for your jewerly.

1) Drops from instances (luck)
2) BG vendor (PvP)
3) Valsekyr Hunt credits (PvE)

It doesn't work in VoT cos the guild that is exploiting the system has 2 members, they all left the guild and joined an alt guild, when we declare GvG on the alt guild, they leave that guild instantly and join a new one...
