Rokuzachi's Post History

Aw man, it actually felt pretty smooth too under the new system.
Is this working as intended?

Get into game, die a few times, get 1 assist, team gets camped by premade at our base and sit around waiting for the loss. Lose with ~1200 points and get 43 credits.

Get into game, get one kill, die a few times, get more assists than the first game. Lose with ~2000 points and get 37 credits.

Are they really trying to send the message that not trying is worth more credits in a BG? I guess when a bunch of premades show up I'll stand around in the base because I get more credits for losing without trying.

DR and/or immunity timers have been a staple in PvP for western MMOs for a long time now. Not having them feels like a huge step backwards.

It's too big of a thing to leave out for so long for it to be an oversight. Seems more like a decision. I can't say I've really agreed with the way PvP is in a lot of eastern games, though. Unfortunately I know a lot of people who've already written the thing off as just another 'pretty korean mmo with too many problems'.
Nuuu, fix PvP before you implement new content that centers it, for the love of god!
This game is not balanced for pvp like any sort of current western MMORPG. It's "balanced" like a korean MMO.

You can localize/westernize text and some content all you want. It's probably nigh-impossible to get them to do the same to the underlying mechanics of pvp.
I have a 60 of both, but I find Zerker more fun and challenging (I mostly PvP).

When I do NT, I'm usually the only zerker out of 20 people, or there's one other zerker. Seems like everyone has a fotm lancer these days.
Nexus was a poorly designed and thought out piece of content. It's one of those things designed by people who clearly weren't in touch with reality in regards to what their game could and couldn't handle.

Why it was left in game in this form for such a long time I have no idea. A responsible developer would have made significant changes to it long ago.

One of the biggest things I dislike about Tera is that things have to come down from BHS, and I'm really not a fan of the way Korean devs do things.
Last night I was in with a premade that had 5 lancers. It was hilarious and really stupid.

The design of pvp in this game is pretty bad imo, it has a lot of underlying problems, one of which is stacking CC. I honestly have a hard time believing that anyone could design an MMO in this day and age without diminishing return/immunity timers and think it was a great idea. Maybe they just didn't care. Or maybe this is what passes as PvP over in Korea, I dunno.
Happens every match to me. Someone will be right there and I'll blast them with a TS... and suddenly they're over yonder.

Or they'll be nailing me with melee combos one after another but look like they're 15m away, and then suddenly appear beside me.

I've also been having a problem where some AoEs on the ground are not showing up. I literally walked into an ice field out in the open and started taking damage because there was NO visual indicator that it was there. Same thing happens with a variety of other AoEs with ground indicators.
There was an awesome fan art of Baraka and Amani butler outfits floating around somewhere. Some sexy manelves in pinstripes suits too, I think. Wish I could find that image. I'd totally rock a butler outfit on a female Amani.
