I too fell victim to the latest patch on my laptop. Now my girlfriend and I can't play together >.< I've experienced this kind of an issue in the past and it had to do with the windows libraries being used by the client. Hopefully there's a fix soon, otherwise I'm going to have to cancel my subs until it is fixed.

People will actually threaten to cancel their sub because the game broke on an operating system that is still in testing and not released yet?

Really? I mean like, really really?

from the tera beta we use win8 as well, the issuse is the last patch,it means not the OP system's, it's damn patch's issuse

The logic of this statement is beyond reproach. I know whenever I have used Nvidia's beta drivers and they end up not working with a game after a patch it's totally the game's fault. It couldn't possibly be an issue with the drivers.

Bahahahaha - you've never played a lancer ever. Sorry, either that or you're just a gigantic fail troll. During 50-57/58 (prior to Argon area) there are a lot of mobs that literally take a minute to kill as a lancer. If you think otherwise then you haven't done it. It's not an opinion, ask any lancer who actually solo'd to 60.

Btw - I'm sorry but the leveling is a comparison to other classes in this game, not time in general or other MMO's. Yes, leveling in this game is very fast no matter what class you, but in comparison to all other classes (except Mystic) the lancer is obscenely slow. I've leveled sorcs, slayers and a lancer. I used hunter crystals and infused charms 24/7 on my lancer. It's painfully slow in comparison. There is no argument, sorry.

I really don't care whether something is RNG driven or token driven; however, WoW, which was a very well made game (I wasn't a big fan, but after the first 6 months, it was a well made game) started using a token system instead of random drops. The reason was so everyone progressed the same amount every run instead of basing it on a RNG system. The thing is, there's no difference between the two systems on an aggregate level. They're both to extend the amount of time you have to spend in dungeons to get the loot you want. The only difference is the per person time spent can fluctuate greatly (depending on the RNG) in one situation where other is just a straight forward grind.

Simple fact, you're either playing a lotto based grind or a flat grind. You're grinding either way - that's what MMO's are (PvE side I mean).
There was a game that did this, but I'm totally blanking on the name. Anyone remember? If you weren't in a player created guild you were part of a npc one... Argh.

Uhm... you're a tool? It's called experience. I've played dozens of games where the player base has said it has to be a server side issue only it's not - it ends up being a multitude of problems on the user's side.

It's not anyones connection. If you live in the states, there should be no extreme ping or delay problems. My ping with their servers was ~32 from where I live. It shows true outside of instances/instance matcher, but once you go in its like you are several countries away. That is something with the servers, not our connections.

The first part of your statement is just utter nonsense - the US's infrastructure is total crap in a majority of the country.

If you live in Florida you will never have a ping of less than 80-90 ms to anywhere other than certain parts of Virginia (even Florida to Florida...).
I'm not saying this to be condescending to anyone - as I've said before there might be an actual problem that is server side. However, I'm a 60 lancer and, aside from literally a handful of times within specific instances, I have never had a problem with block/skill lag. I have seen several other lancers say the same thing - that they haven't had any issues.

Now, I do not play an archer, so I have no comment about that specific class or issues with it. I have yet to have any issues with my lancer, warrior, slayer and sorc though. Again, aside from the known minor issue of spats of lag every so often (I mean every few runs...) in certain instances.

To be clear, there could be a problem affecting some portion of the population that is not the population's fault. My only point is in my 20 years of MMO's I know it is far more likely the symptoms are caused by different issues that are on the user side that simply produce the same or similar symptoms.

Hey there, simple fix, stop reading the forums (or, at a minimum, posts crapping on lancers). Problem solved!

Also, don't worry, no one will care about you once QoA part 2 comes out because lancers will be worthless! (I'm a 60 lancer, so yay!)

Seriously this needs to be adjusted, its the stupidest mechanic they have, and is the vain of melee classes fighting bams be it group or in a party.

95% of my deaths to bam's is because it decided its gonna run around and tag me 10 ish times or so for 1k damage a pop... and then Knock me down multiple times. Throw in the fact that the BAM is generally faster than you (Especially when angered) and your screwed.

I'll only agree that is annoying when certain BAMs decide to walk around in circles (just random chance) and constantly knock you over. I'm reeeeeally surprised you've died to it though. I've never died because of it (I've died because I was at 10% life, got knocked down because of walking and then finished off with special because retaliate wasn't up... but that's hardly because of the knock down).
I'm sure there's also a loading screen that says "be nice to people" that everyone follows. Anyway, I was going to troll this thread, but I couldn't bear to read the massive wall of text that was the OP! Ethics in instances hahaha...
