Schwagbert's Post History
These guys have been awesome to be part of. Saw a post in area chat and started talking and asking questions. Everything fit since I'm into both PvP and PvE, so I joined...
Great decision on my part. There's a lot of diversity, but there's no tension around it. Everyone has fun and works together. Awesomeness.
Some of my favorite moments in MMO gaming are from games that are dead... One literally has its servers off and the other had just a couple hundred playing anymore..
My first MMO was Asheron's Call Dark Majesty. This game was so, so fun for me. I never actually even made it halfway to the level cap because I could never decide what character I wanted to have, but that didn't really matter to me. It was a huge, open, beautiful world. Many quests that had unique story lines, although I didn't necessarily do those.. My favorite part was sitting in a dungeon or area with a group of either strangers or friends and grinding for hours. Running around killing Olthoi or Tuskers for hours and hours while making and strengthening friendships was awesome.
My second MMO was Asheron's Call 2. It had a completely new world and functioned differently. However, my favorite part was the same thing. I could never decide on a certain class to play to the end, but that didn't matter. Spending hours setting up Tactician turrets on Burun Beach and inviting random people to sit there and reap in bundles of experience.. Running around hunting the Bound Fetich Spawn for that quest that you would grind from level 19 to 30 before going to Linvak Tukal and setting up camp at The Crossroads.... The different ways you could set up each class (3 base trees: melee, ranged, magic + 2 specializations in each base tree). Sooo goooood.

I can't wait to make memories like those on Tera. I already made some pretty good friends in my guild and even spent like 9 hours grinding Basilisks for Destiny Eggs and xp with some. I sort of wish I had leveled more, but oh well. It was lots of fun and now I have friends to play with. :]
Warrior tank here...
The only time I've ever lost aggro was my first couple times killing Basilisks and against Arakia...
I lose aggro by being knocked down, more than once in a row.
Otherwise, Battle Shout + Defensive Stance + Torrent of Blows + the rest of my skills between cd's is more than enough to keep aggro on myself. It also helps that I have + enmity/hate/aggro gear and a crystal or two. But I was maintaining aggro easily without the crystal or gear anyway.
Hey everyone! I'm pretty new to this, but I'm excited. I didn't get to play any last night after I made my character, but I'm excited to play my Castanic warrior. :D
I hope your all's betas are going nicely.. But, if you're sitting there drinking coffee before playing, I'll be streaming my venture into Tera. :]

I've already been awake for 30ish hours. I need something to keep me going.
I'm really not sure yet... Whenever I play an MMO I try to avoid dps as they are usually boring to play... But I will probably have to wait until open beta to decide between lancer/warrior or priest/mystic.
