I'm no mathematician but that logic seems flawed.
I wont lie, at least 50% of our all gvgs we have lost (Which only totals about 6 or so out of about 30+)

Really? Because I think a hardcore pvp guild would be having 5+ GvG's going on at a time every day. It's members would be practicing in duels all day in the GvG downtime outside of a populated town. And I think a hardcore PvP guild fights fair in GvG's also.
When someone declares on Reckless, we usually ask the guild leader or someone to get some 5v5/10v10's going. (And hey, aren't bg's just that? Organized 5's and 10's? ;])
And Reckless isn't some troll guild. If someone were to declare on us during nexus, I'm sure we'd stay in guild and fight back. It wouldn't be worth anything because it's during a lag-fest but who cares. Pretty sure none of us [filtered] about pvp on a pvp server.

Yeah, participating in PvP is kinda pointless and boring if all you do is lose all the time. All PvP has been pointless up until now for the vanarch thing. But if you're a 'hardcore pvper' you don't care about the reward. You PvP for the sake of PvP. Oh, and if you participated in more GvG's you might find that you don't have to flag to kill someone, and if you die in a GvG you don't lose crystals. Yup! No reason not to PvP!

We just wont participate in PVP that has no benefit or that we do not find enjoyable. Having to flag to PVP is a dumb dumb idea. I want to PVP without having to risk losing my nexus PVP crystals. Pointless indeed.
