The IGN staff of today are just a bunch of egotistical douchebag kids that think they are the know it alls of gaming, yet about 90% of the reviews are facepalm worthy and completely miss the point of the games they are reviewing. They really don't know a damn thing about gaming. Hell, they dock points for a game being "too hard".
Look at the games that they give high scores to, seriously. In the last few years all of the 9 and above scored games have been totally overhyped pieces of trash. Diablo 3 getting a 9.5 was ridiculous. D3 is not a terrible game, but it did not live up to the hype; Not even close to it. Uncharted 3 was incredibly generic and it got a damn TEN. Meanwhile a game like Corpse Party gets it's score penalized for gameplay even though the game was about the mood and the characters not gameplay(like i said they totally miss the point).
Oh and their "news" always is days to weeks old. Always last to the party.
