You have my vote Spider Queen!
For me around 16 to 20 it became really fun.
If it isn't fun, change class!

No
Heart Thrust comes from the center of the blade, not the tip like most attacks. You need to be very close to your target. Essentially, the blade really does need to thrust into their heart. In addition, it stabs slightly left, so you need to correct for that.
The RNG in this game is quite sporadic.
While grinding turtles before offline, Some dropped up to 2g, while others dropped 60c.

Have you even looked through the glyphs? Some lower mana cost, lower cooldown, increase damage, proc for no cooldown, proc for no cost, increase cast speed of another skill, etc.
Each glyph goes towards a different playstyle. If you want a zerg, get high damage. Sustained DPS, go for low costs. Need to hunt BAMs? maybe procs or speed due to long fights. Not to mention crystals can be swapped out for individual fights. Some favor BAMs, normal mobs, minions, players, regen, etc.
It is VERY hard to make a cookie cutter spec when all the variables are taken into account. In most MMOs, the talent tree is a tree. You HAVE to invest to move on. This is where cookie cutters come from. Certain skills you HAVE to take to be worth anything. Certain skills ahve to be taken to move on. With glyphs and crystals, you don't have to take anything. Nothing is mandetory.
The advantage of a talent based system is, usually you have at least 3 talent trees. That means three "cookie cutter" specs. In a game like Rift, there were easily 5-6 "cookie-cutter" specs for each of the 4 classes which managed to be competitive. That is the potential of a talent system.
Eventually, there will only be 1 cookie-cutter spec in TERA for each class, and only 1 optimal crystal setup. It's inevitable when the devs have made no effort to offer us completely separate specs, like we see in a talent tree system.

I can't really put it much better. If OP happens to be an ex-WoW player, WoW is switching to a system similar to glyphing but with even less options.
With glyphs there are many optimal builds: Least mana cost, best procs, most damage, best PvP (There are player damage glyphs), etc. With talent trees there is always one optimal build for PvE and one for PvP. If you are lucky, there is third that is "best hybrid" or something along those lines.
Throw in the crystal system on TOP and you have a limitlessly wide amount of customization. Do you want a lot of knockback procs? High boss damage? high player damage? health regen? mana regen? damage against minions? normal monsters? Too many options and they can be switched out on the fly if you want to carry them around. Best part? You better play smartly or you could lose a few when you die.
Pepperzine on 04/25/2012, 12:49 PMI don't like that one bit.... why would I wanna be literally identical to everyone else besides gear....
and eventually there will only be one "right" way to be optimal....
You havent played any mmo without a skill tree have you? No worries though!
I started mmos with EQ2 where there was not a trace of a talent tree. As such when i played Conan, Rift, Swtor the talent trees where certainly a strange thing. And SeraElf said exactly what i will. IMO talent trees give a strong illusion that you have choice in "spec'ing" your toon. I only really noticed the illusion in Swtor... even though you had theses talent trees I didnt feel like i had any choice.
But in Tera i do have that feeling of choice again. As a sorc for instance, you can choose to decrease the mana cost of most of your skills OR you can increase the dmg OR you can decrease the cooldown of many. But you cant do all of it, maybe one extreme is superior but a healthy mix is. Even if there is one "spec" of glyph point you should spend. But it is not easy to get all the master glyphs required for those spec's.
Moreover i agree that there is less customization that with a talent tree. The raw number of possibilities with skill trees is far greater than with glyphs. But I certainly feel like i have a lot more choice with glyphs.
Goodluck and goodhunting.
