ShadowSkill's Post History
When i run around certain object in the game like steps or ramps or trees, my char gets stuck when there is nothing in front of me. Also when im gathering something like wood in the area next to lumber town im unable to do it if its right next to a tree, unless im right in front of it. If im to the side i can still click on the wood but i wont be able to gather it. I dont get any message saying i cant gather or anything, I just wont be able to gather anything unless i move away from the tree and stand right infront.
This isnt a very big deal but it might be something you can fix before launch
I found that when moving up hill, the jumping ability was drastically reduced. Is this by design? I especially noticed it on my horse, if this is by design could you take it out? it really sucks
I started my new char as soon as CBT3 started and i played him for 11 hours str8 and i only got to lvl 18
This is roughly the same speed as SWTOR and a bit slower than Rift.
I didnt group or do anything else but quests, and i seem to be at the lvl the quests are at.
What are these power lvlers doing? how did you get to lvl 27 in 10 hours? i think to do that you would have to be in a group and just grind higher lvl BAM's non stop or something.
For the casual player and for soloers, the xp seems to scale at a decent pace. Just leave good enough alone or implement an xp freeze toggle or something. That should stop the QQing
Check list time!!
Make sure you take a shower first (you know your not going to shower for 2 days O.o)
Have enough microwave food ready (2 minutes and your back in the action!)
Call everyone you know and tell them you will be dead for the next 2 days!!
Buy your gf a toy...
Make sure your ISP is up to date!
Lock all doors and windows
Have enough Monsters or your choice of stay up all night drinks!!
Feel free to add to the list!!
See you in game!! 18 min!!!!
Its 10:27 in the west coast atm, does it start in 33 minutes? i heard it started at 12 noon western time?
I think to solve all their problems they should implement a system like DAoC, In DAoC (Dark Age of Camelot they had different lvl BG's and a player had the Option to Stop his lvling any time he wanted
Basically saying that there was a BG for every 5 lvls so say for the BG's between lvl 26 through 30 if a player wanted to stay lvl 30 and play indefinitely in that BG all he/she had to do was toggle off their xp and no matter how much xp they gained they would never get to lvl 31 until they toggled their xp gains back on
Seems to me this would be the simplest way to fix it and i know it can be done because DAoC has already done it once, and im sure other games have done it before also
Instead of people complaining about it how about tossing out some suggestions instead :)
I watched a YouTu:e video with a warrior fighting a slayer and the warrior won. I dont remember their lvls but i think they where in their 20's
For pvp a warrior is good because of Teras combat system. Its not just point and click , Its trying to out guess your opponent
In the video i watched the warrior kept dodging the Slayers set up moves. The slayer might be faster than a zerker but his moves still take time compared to the warrior.
For fighting mobs hands down the slayer wins, and for pvp i would say the slayer would still be a beast against any class except a warrior. But one on one its tough to beat a warrior
I think i read somewhere that warriors are the only class that get a run speed of 120, don't know if thats true but in pvp speed is allways king
Its not about pve'rs being more sensitive.
I dont like to pvp, actually thats not true, what i dont like is gankers or people coming up on you when your fighting a BAM and attacking you, i mean really? you need a BAM to help you kill someone? whack.
But GvG is different, you will know that your guild is on pvp status for that day, so you can expect to get ganked and such.
But it will only be for that day, instead of grinding that day join some guildies and go do what your guild is doing and whoop some other guild butt! Once you win or lose, its back to whatever you where doing.
And it might not even last 24 hours, because it will only last 24 hours or until one guild gets 500 points and wins
I havent played yet but i hear that you can chain certain skills, i assumed this was by macroing. Does this mean that you will have to hit each skill in the chain? Not that i mind, just curious
I haven't played the game yet but i plan on being in this CBT3 today. I recently played SWTOR and I loved the story line and the fact that if you just did the story line quests it got you to the next lvl and the next quest. There was a few gaps that let you do open world content but If you did all the quests in a zone it got you to the next zone at the right lvl. SWTOR got this aspect of the game perfect! (was their end game that sucked, and pvp? omg terrible but that's besides the point) If Tera lets you do all of the quests in a certain zone at your current lvl then it shouldn't matter how fast or how slow you get there, as long as you can experience the story line. If you are grinding or redoing dungeons for that 1 peice of armor or weapon... I mean really? your complaining about getting a piece of gear at say lvl 20 that will get replaced in what 6 lvl's?. In my current game of Rift, my first char to 50 had so many pieces of green (pretty bad gear) gear, it was horrible. But once to the end game thats when you start trying for the higher lvl pieces that you will be keeping for a long time.
If the xp rate changes just make sure it matches the quests in a zone
