1. Auction House - costs you nothing to put up items which is a huge deal.
2. Double dungeon entries, reduced cd's - more dungeons=more loot= more gold
3. Unlimited Atlas- Being able to port to any major area at any time from anywhere is amazing.
Maybe I should add as an incentive for EME to actually want to push the issue on this is that you guys are literally sitting on a goldmine if you add flying mounts. You have to realize how much people would pay out the nose in the cash shop for some uber flashy flying mounts or limited edition ones ect. I mean seriously from a plain business perspective all I see are massive $$$$$ in your future by adding flying mounts.
This is as closeminded as someone can get. All you're going on about is how it affects combat and 'ganking'. Thing is its not only going to affect ganking, its going to add a WHOLE new dimension to the game and its bleugh not gonna go on anymore soz
If you can't give me solid reason as to why it's so "bleugh" then why should i listen to your....argument? I love how I am the close minded one for wanting to add features to the game but you are the open minded one for..not wanting to?
Have to agree. I was really excited when I first saw this option but then I realized it's client side only and that completely destroyed the whole point of it. best troll ever. Which brings me to another point that really irks me. WHY do the new devil wings force you to have upswept hairdo? There is literally no reason for it, it doesn't clip the hair AT ALL and he devil outfits looks 10X better with the wings and long hair. I swear it's like they try to do everything possible to ruin any kind of joy you can have with this game.
Pegasus is already useless I literally cannot remember the last time i even used one. Having said that I am all for flying mounts and have been since the beginning. I think they would add a much needed level of depth to the game and by adding them would allow cool things like flying castles, dungeons, even raids that require flight..ect. I'm really not sure why people are against it besides for maybe some selfish reasons like "it ruins teh immersions!" or some such nonsense or some retarded pvp reasons like "it makes teh peoplez run away from me too ez so i can't gank dem!" Other than that I find it really hard to agree with any arguments against having them.
Not that I want to argue the point with you but compared to more populated servers CH is indeed a ghost town. Roleplayers tend to be a talkative bunch especially on forums so it's not surprising to see a forum thread grow when servers are down and there is nothing else to do.
I don't think instance matching will help him much. I actually tried Q'ing up for multiple low lvl dungeons today just out of boredom and believe I gave up trying after a little over an hour sitting in it. If you aren't trying to do 3,5,7 or WH gl trying to instance match anything else. My honest no bs advice to the OP is either find an active guild that is friendly to new players and willing to run you through dungeons. Or leave that ghost town they call CH and go to a more active server where you may have better luck.
As soon as something changes in a game making it unnecessary for under-geared, under-leveled or uninterested people to be out where some random ganker can get them - the whole thing inevitably dries up. Because that game play is just not enjoyable to the vast majority of people. The rare time some real form of balanced fight happens in the open world is not enough enticement to deal with getting harassed by someone with level and gear advantages and to much time on their hands when other options are available.
This needs to be framed somewhere because this is the reality of the situation. No matter how badly pvpers try to argue with me or anyone about what pvp is "really" all about and how somehow pvp is necessary for game survival... What is written above is what really happens and nothing is going to change that. It's like when people ask global to stop talking about elins....yea. And for the love of god please stop using lineage 2 as a shining example of how to make a successful mmo....just...stop.
In my opinion if you actually want to have pvp in an mmo and have it be popular and successful then it needs to be fair and it needs to be balanced and have structure. Give up on open world pvp gankfests and embrace instanced pvp like Corsairs Strongholds. CS is as close to pvp done right as I think it ever can be done in an mmo. Gear is equalized so everyone feels like they have a fighting chance " I realize it has flaws due to low lvls and not being able to use crystals" but that could easily be fixed to an extent. It's not just about running around ganking people.
You have a set goal to achieve, you have to destroy the crystal or you and your team loses no matter how awesome your k/d is. You have obstacles to overcome and resources that can be used to help or hurt you or the other team. It's engaging because there is STRATEGY involved. You win or lose by how well you and your team listens to each other and follows instructions. It's almost like playing a game of chess with each team trying to out think the other. THAT to me is what pvp should be about that is was gets my blood pumping and makes me want to keep playing. Not running around with my ganksquad trying to see how many noobs day i can ruin by not letting them finish that quest.
People that I play with that absolutely HATE pvp and everything related to pvp LOVE CS and run that [filtered] every day over and over. WHY?! because of everything stated above and because they actually feel like they have a fighting chance and it's on there terms they choose to be involved in it. Making people feel like they have a choice is a powerful thing. When you take away peoples options and force them into a situation they would rather not be in yea... it may be fun for you, but trust me it's definitely not for them. You want people to pvp? You want people to WANT to pvp? Then make more instances just like cs and make them on a larger scale and watch people flock to it. If that's not the kind of pvp you want then im sorry but all you want is a gankfest and to flex your epeen against people who can't win against you and you can't ever convince me otherwise.
Roleplay has always been low pop to begin with and besides that no one does low lvl dungeons unless you can farm them for scrolls or achievements. Get some friends to run you through if you need to do them.
