Is there anyway to actually kill a priest aside a lucky one shot crit from a zerk/archer? Healing once you enter a pvp situation should have longer cool downs and/or less effect.

Stuns and staggering are a another huge mess...

Tera is fun and all, but the attention to some of the details in the mechanics of things can just be a mess... not to mention the fact that half your hits can miss another player because of the poor net code, among other things...

Well, none of that will ever be fixed... localizations from Korea never get fixed...
please delete this....

They should really have it progress players; players start off in the ebg's to get the gear/etc. they need or want and then play in the geared where they get bonus rewards, ranks etc., and then finally in like a tourney level bg at the top level.

Right now it's: skill only bg, get carried by gear bg, get carried by gear 3v3 with a tiny bit of skill, get carried by gear griefing in open world.

I would love to hear the technical issues behind this that are unrelated to cash shop sales. I can only give the benefit of the doubt for so long when the last note about how much better elite is contains "you can always buy more from Valkyon Outfitters!"

BHS can't spend ten minutes on a patch for this after three months; they evidently can't waste any time copy pasting an existing icon graphic either. If they licensed TERA on the condition that EME cannot modify the client in any way on their own without permission, this game will not survive for long. Seeing as EU can do this, JTera adds their own content, and KTera doesn't have the performance bugs that we do - one could also just assume that EME is refusing to hire another programmer.

Oh well. I'm probably just salty that they did this right after my elite renewed (...just like they did with spellbinds.) Every time I check the forum I get reminded of something that shouldn't be...

Unfortunately, this is how most games that are licensed and localized are it seems :( We just have to hope and wait for the few measly scraps we are tossed from the devs across the sea. Japan seems to do things a bit better when localizing, and I would not want to play an EU localization... ever.

It is really unfortunate that we don't get more customized content like the J-versions of games though. Although, I do like what they have accomplished with the game, it still leaves many wanting.

Did you already try removing and re equipping it?

Yes, I tried re-equipping it; it just switches to the EBG gear skin and then you view/equip anything with any costume items until you leave the match =/

Same thing happens with me, though if I try to switch out it just goes to the EBG gear :/

Glad I'm not the only one with the issue. It's not like it effects gameplay, but it is irritating that I purchased an aesthetic item that I can't even see most of the time because I play ebg when solo queuing (and would do group ebg if I could; but groups are apparently not allowed :( )
When I enter EBGs my Elins maid costume still shows up, but my weapon skin changes to the EBG weapon skin; is there any way of making my icetouch skin show up? Also, if you try to change costume settings in EBG it changes to the EBG skins and won't change back until after the match...

I've seen others with the icetouch/icegrip weapon skins in EBG and I most certainly did not buy the skin to have it not show....

Just wondering if there is a toggle or setting that I am missing somewhere?
I really like EBGs; don't have to worry about gear carrying players anymore. If we could queue with friends and stuff that would be even better; I don't play an online game to play by myself.

The next thing they need to do is work on overhauling the stuns/CCs; these could use a major overhaul for all classes because there is just way too much of it. They should add more requirements for certain CC abilities like having to stagger before a knock down or stun and/or hitting the target in the back and even then toning down some CC length by a bit.

EBG reminds me of Dragon Nests pvp where gear was equalized too (although it was in game from the moment they launched their arenas) and I really liked DNs pvp; although DN has less cc and is more focused on setting up combos.

Of course... the Korean devs, the ones that we get 99% of our content and changes from give a [filtered] about anything outside of Korea and nothing we say here will really make any major change happen. Sure, EME can fiddle with a few small easy to manipulate things here and there, but any major content or updates that we feel are needed won't ever happen... just like every other localization from Asia.

lol "yes let's add another gear tier, that is definitely content that will add longevity to the game!"... for like 3% of the games population.... for about 1 week.

If any new content needs to be made, it needs to add a bit more variety to the game or build on some existing content that needs to be fleshed out. The outlaw system needs a facelift to provide more incentive to stay as an outlaw while roaming, while there also needs to be benefits to attacking anyone with a red name (although to a lesser extent than the former).

Mini-games such as mount racing (with mount skills that give temporary speed boosts or items you pick up along the coarse).

Stuns and other cc in general need an overhaul in TERA pvp. I'd say they need to start with either toning back stuns on all classes a bit and/or adding some kind of stun break skill to each class. Heals in the bgs could use some tweaking too (as well as the whole run into the water when losing a fight thing....).
Hey, you know what? FPS's like Halo and Call of Duty have like almost no progression compared to most MMO's, but guess what? They do extremely well in terms of sales as well as popularity.

You see all those players with costumes and weapon skins? Where did those come from? The cash shop; even if they purchase them off the broker, someone spent more than a few bucks to get them there first. You can probably assume that for every player that has a costume skin, that there was at least $10-20 (or more) spent on the game for that at some point. There are also plenty of players in pve that have bought into the elite status, as well as many players like myself that actually bought the game when it was first released. There is plenty of funding for TERA with skins, mounts, and convenience items (village atlas and elite status for example).

Content wise, they really only need a few more features in game as well as a few tweaks. Mount racing would be a fun little mini game to have, and maybe shift Equalized Battlegrounds away from a straight up gear progression mentality to like title/rank progression.... maybe even flip that and make the "ranked" gear progression arena focus on titles/ranks and then have the EBGs give points for players to gear up for the ranked bgs or something.

Point is; there is plenty there if the devs and the publishers are willing to actually do something with it. Other games get by with much, much less and still do well.

Personally, I am all for equalized, however this also means they will need to monitor the balance of classes and their respective skills more directly (since you can't just rely on being "better geared" than the other player lol).
They really should develop some content that doesn't require a massive grind for items:

+ flesh out open world pvp (outlaws vs "justice"? With some incentive for staying in outlaw mode or something?)

+some fun casual, but highly interactive, mini-games (think along the lines of what most app games are like) like shooting cannons at stuff for example (I mean they had you do it once for a quest, why not a replayable mini-game lol?); we could have some race mini-game with our mounts or something (of course with speed boost/decrease items as you run along the course and stuff)

+reasons for players to go back to certain dungeons and help other players (maybe provide an option to scale your stats down to something close to the instances range for bonuses of some kind? or just in some mini-game sort of way?)

I mean the game could really use some more content that is replayable and a bit of incentive to replay stuff.

It's the fun little casual stuff that keeps a game fresh, while the massive grindy stuff can be churned out at a slower rate to give players long term goals without feeling that it'll be obsolete and/or they will be left behind too fast. I mean currently TERA really only has like maybe two things you can really do in game; grind a dungeon or pvp (roleplaying is something I don't count here, because it's like 99% player generated lol). I mean mini-games and stuff like suggested above shouldn't take that long to develop.

I really hope that you guys at EME are passing some of our suggestions on to Bluehole devs, because there are many ideas and things that many players are generally in consensus on that could inject a whole level of life into TERA.
