I wish there was a way to micromanage my fairy, and choose what spells she casts when. Relying on waiting 5-10 seconds from casting to get her to dispel isn't always a viable option.
The fairy is pretty predictable. It does two large single-target heals on the caster right after is appears, throws out two large-radius aoe heal-over-times (centered on the caster), then finishes with a single small range burst aoe heal (also centered on caster). Each heal dispells when it lands (including the hot), though it would take some good timing, planning and positioning to rely on it for group dispells. Movement will force it to follow you and not cast, possibly missing out on some of the aoe heals.
What slow spells could you possibly be talking about? The instant aoe? The instant aoe that chains after the first aoe and resets all the time to re-chain instantly again? Or the 1 second aoe that hits as hard as anything in the game that chains into another instant aoe while buffing it at the same time?

You're either rolling with full healing glyphs or just pushing the wrong buttons at the wrong time. Or a troll...
There's just some really odd usage of time and resources on their end. Adding new abilities while many existing abilities are broken and/or useless is a bizarre misallocation of resources. No scaling on most abilities is also lame and inexcusable, since it can be fixed with a little code and a few days of play testing to get the balancing right. Stop being lazy, do the math and programming and let the mystic toolkit scale with gear.

This is true, the warrior tank in his current state is horrible
I also did tank 3 times and i can say the runs take a lot longer
But this should hopefully change when we have block
So you tanked for the first time ever, probably with DPS glyphs/crystals, and you went slower than experienced tanks... and feel like that experience gives you enough insight to comment on the entire class? It couldn't have possibly had anything to do with a zero experience tank? Maybe? It's hurting my brain to come up with an analogy to get across just how stupid that is... but I'll try.

I drove a truck the other day for the first time. I've never driven anything before and normally I ride in cars, but this time I drove myself and used a truck. It seemed like it took longer to get where I was going, which means trucks are worse than cars.
There's a handful of broken skills, plenty of totally worthless skills, major scaling problems and they spend their time and effort creating brand new abilities for mystics... please fix the stuff that's already in the game before you go complicating things further with new stuff.
But it's immersive and realistic to listen to NPCs repeat the same phrases every 10 seconds for their entire lifespan...

I havn't had any help from a higher level sadly. In fact I've only completed BAM quests in only about 2 or 3 areas just because i was lucky enough to find 3 others on this dead server I play on.
This is causing much of the problem. You're missing out on a good chunk of your quests and will lag behind the story quests a bit. At very least you should be going back and completing them solo when you are a few levels above the BAMs. Also, if you have any story quests left, you aren't stuck; just go do it and you will be lead to new quest hubs.
Sorc damage is balanced around taking time to use mana recovery abilities. If you could just spam anything you wanted all day you would do double the damage of anything else... so get a good mystic attached at your hip and do double everyone's damage.
Everyone else, especially the people who are telling you leveling is a breeze are doing some or all of the 5 man content when it comes up, be it soloing BAMs or doing full groups for everything. You might have a few bad experiences, but you won't ever learn how to play if you don't start somewhere. You could level without doing a single quest, hell I saw someone who was trying to level primarily from crafting, but it's a slow, dragged out slog to do anything other than plowing through quest hubs and getting lead around by the story quests; if you ignore all that 5 man content, with the huge xp awards and gear upgrades, you do so at your own peril.
Maybe you aren't playing as well as you think you are?

You can't just say "I do everything right and have my character setup great" and make it so...
