Personally, I loved that my toon rode side-saddle.

And she's hot.

This post sums it all up. The design of the female in this game is because men like to see them that way. Regardless of anything else. It's all about the sexualization of women ... no matter where we go, men are just lil pubescent boys drooling at the female body. Sigh. No matter how hard we try, it just never gets better.

So you can say we can just ignore it. But I say it's time we changed and stopped it, giving females in games as much dignity as we fight for in the real world.

I don't equate pixels on the screen to people in real life. I like the flavor that she rides side-saddle rather than ... whatever the other term might be.

And she is cute! It's the same for male characters.. I wouldn't create a fat or ugly one even if I had the chance.. in a male character, I create strong, well toned, well...hunk. In a female character, I like her to be my definition of attractive and whatever, this game lets me do that.

The thing that bothered me about my male blood elves in wow is they were all too feminine.

For what it's worth, in games with better body customization, I have created more androgynous characters for the hell of it. I'm not belittling you by arranging pixels in a pleasant manner. I'm having some fun playing a game.

I noticed that after blocking to use shield counter, or trying to use spring attack after combo attack or shield barrage, pressing space bar would make me jump instead.

I honestly think it has to do with latency. If you're not running at optimal latency, you get problems.

CBT1, I was learning the game. I disregard issues I had there as maybe I screwed up.
CBT2 went flawless. Things worked as I expected.
CBT3, I would get this a lot.. space would make me jump, or spring attack would be normal execution, not instant like it should have been, but I was also having a slow connection in general (bad bad weather was screwing with my connection). I dc'd a bunch from the game too.

If it is a latency issue, the latency threshold needs to be more forgiving.

I too was having this issue with Charging Lunge. Using Shield Barrage after Lunge would make me miss 1st Barrage.

Same.

First fiew levels is one thing, first 20 is a whole other. Around level 5, players have a pretty decent grasp of the targeting/aiming. By Tainted Gorge, 8/9, you have gotten combos, you've got the aiming system, it's time for the game to show players that this isn't Hello Kitty: Island of Dawn.

kid has been begging me and begging me to play this game, and finally I let him last night. I created a coonratcat Berserker and let him play through it. I came back 45 mins later and he was killing Vekas, for the quest. His stamina was at 105 and he was just trucking along.

I also moved it over to empty party chat as he didn't need to see what [Area] is generally talking about.

And he's 9.
Of course, if everyone set their preference to load in the lowest populated channels, you'd end up with an even distribution of players across channels, which isn't a bad idea at all.

I couldn't agree more, but i would also go a lot farther and say the whole experience from 1-11 is pretty meaningless, the quests are horribly written, the voice acting is awful, and other than the combat (which is great, no argument there) the game doesn't offer a lot. MMOs these days have to offer everything, meaning action combat AND a strong questing/voice acting/immersive environment, otherwise people like myself just feel we're paying for half a game, which doesn't really fly imo.

Oh God, the soundbytes for NPCs are horrible, and bring the mediocre questing system down rather than up. They're so clearly "tacked on" that they take away from any quality questing might have. If I hear one more NPC say "The elves lead the way." or "This ain't my first rodeo.", I'm going to scream.
Just know this.

Games that won't do separate specs (or ability rules) for PVE and PVP--and these usually fail--really begin to suck when they cave to "pvp balance qq".

Be careful what you wish for, you'll login after a patch and suddenly you do do more damage to other players but your block only blocks 50% of player attacks' damage, when you manage to be facing them as they swing.

If you enjoy the class, enjoy it for what it is. PVP balance usually results in PVE elements losing power. Like one poster said, you have a class that's meant to take mega hits from 200 ton bosses, and shrug it off. If you enjoy that, then enjoy that.
Honestly, what purpose does this serve? I got several friends interested in the beta, and when they noticed this stamina system they first said, "This is dumb." After getting irritated time and time again because of the stamina issue, they just out right cancelled their accounts. There was really nothing I could say in defense of the stamina system to persuade them not to quit.

This seems like an exaggeration. Stamina is a nuisance, but only that. I'd believe one person quit over it, but not several. Especially if you're playing as a group. (Mobs die faster, you lose stamina less quickly.)

Still, Stamina does feel just completely...dumb. It's only purpose is so you have more hp/mp as you begin questing/boss fight and it diminishes over time (as you're attacked).

I like campfires, I get the the point. I'd remove Stamina though and make campfires an hp/mp resting device, and keep the charms purpose.

Really really bad idea. If you pk like lets say 4 players that are 11 levels lower it'll increase ur infamy to 400+ and you won't get rid of that infamy unless u wait like almost 2 full days or grind the whole day while facing everyone who wants to pk you.

LOL. You don't want fair fights, you want to terrorize people who haven't leveled as quickly as you.

All I see when I look at this is you were ganking people several levels below you and someone your level kicked your butt.

Geez. Terrorizing people because they're an easy target SHOULD be punished.
