Oh, you silly people, asking them to rework the mystic. What do you think you are, warriors?

10 points for a genuinely awesome idea. I do agree that it's pretty low priority, as there are a number of more consequential things to worry about. But I definitely would hope to see this at some point down the line.
Some sort of reorganization functionality would be nice, however what I would like to see is for the characters to interact with one another while they wait for you to make your selection.
For example, you log in and find your main has wandered over and is flirting with alt1. Alt2 and alt3 are having an argument that escalates into a duel. Alt4 and Alt5 are cheering them on from a safe distance.
You could even take it further and have the characters try to bat away the cursor if they're busy doing something, or if you haven't played them in a while, maybe they try to attract your attention or grab the cursor away from another character.
Of course, world changes come first, but this would be pretty cool.

I know I have a few suggestions. Personally I would love to know when pets will be re added, I know they won't be shops mind you but I'd really like some collectable items in tera. pets, I'd like more mini games too. Fishing and stuff that's a given, but what happened to that butterfly catching game?
how about more of those "fire the cannon" like quests? Can we get some more fluff items off bosses and bams? like pets or even uber ultra rare templates that are singular and not like any other wearable gear in the game?
How about some in game holiday fairs? Like "mother elinu day" with earth day like collectable items?
How about a bar where you can purchase drinks that give you the drunken haze and walk funny for a while like in WoW? Make up holidays for the tera world as well that don't coincide with real world ones. The egg events are cool, but perhaps you every other week end you could set those chests to drop with the eggs inside. This would periodically stimulate the games economy with out over inflating it.
How about an event where you can buy masks over the other racial types? Over world races where you have to race from one map to the other with out using teleportals or flight paths?
For mounts we have enough horses, how about bears, praying mantis, bicycles, mini bams, those purple ostriches?
Seriously i know it sounds pervish but how about collars with leashes for the kat themed elins? And how come we can't use the school girl outfit some of the elin npc's have?
Marriage system? Guild housing? A quest to bring down the sky whale? Or the life sucking manta rays near kanstria? A raid that is on the sky wales back?
Allow vanarchs to open small controlled pvp areas on maps? Most of all Tera is lacking variety and time wasters/things to do besides farm and grind end game instances. If longevity is to be obtained things need to be added to do or to go look for.
I would really like some things to expand the lore of the world. I'd like to be able to walk up to the book shelves in the various dungeons and read short books talking about the dungeon im in like
"Sinestral mansion, was forged on so and so date, the manor's head of house was "name of male vampire boss here" and explain how he became a vampire" Make me care more about the world I'm in
How about castle siege? Whats that building outside Velika for? Why are we not warring for it? Kind of like ragnarok did? Have a map with a few castles on it and then have a weekly war so people can capture them and build up defenses in them for the following week when others are able to steal it from them. Competitive gaming. This games battle system would really make that fun.
How about scavenger hunts that make you fly around to various out posts and villages in game to obtain various items that also expand the lore of the game like this.
FLy to pora elina and find the princess by a camp fire and she tells you an old story about how The elins came to be and why they look that way, and she will give you an old elin relic which you then take to one of the baraka scholars in velika who then sends you off to alemanthia and you talk to fraya about their history more and such like that.

I genuinely laughed out loud at this. It's funny because it's true, which is actually kind of sad if you think about it.
Devvy on 08/28/2012, 04:33 PMI know that they have some plans for Halloween not sure what exactly but I've seen some of the items they will add in.. Just hope those items don't find their way to the cash shop..
You know they will, you know this inside your heart.

Posts like this make me sad. Even though I agree with your point, I want to disagree with you just because of that attitude.

The distant blade thing may seem like a joke, but you're on to something with that archer comment. This game genuinely has the least archery archers I've ever seen.
they where MADDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
Since we are talking about magical extension of the sword.
How come archers can only shoot 21 meters?
A shortbow is able to easily able shoot targets at 135+ meters.
what the f.uck were they thinking.

This exactly. It's only frustrating until you realize that balance means nothing in this game. Sometimes I help my lower level friends, or farm for my alts and as a lvl 60 I regularly get knocked down by level 20-30 enemies. They might as well just remove balance from the game and accept that everything will knock you down regardless.

You're tired of people having problems, and I'm tired of people who immediately attack anyone who has an issue. Here's an alternative perspective. MMOs aren't dying because people are "trying" to find something to complain about. They're dying because they rely heavily on literally decade old, money-saving mechanics that just aren't fun in application. And then people similar to yourself run around shouting "The games aren't meant to be fun. It's serious work, stop being a carebear" every time someone tries to offer ideas to improve the genre.
Also, referring to newton's law in a game is kind of silly. The game has a balance stat that seemingly does nothing. This is a valid point.
Should've seen when I let a level 13 zerker go to town on my level 60 sorc. Every 3-4 hits was a knockdown.
The balance stat in this game is so worthless it's actually worth investing in skills that depend on us falling down.

So what? A low level can knock down a higher level. Surpised Newtons law of gravity works in a game.
Good grief, people in this game no, make that people that play MMO's complain about the dumbest s--t. Why do you people even play games if all you're going to complain about is the challenge of playing them and whine and beg the developers to change things to make the game easier for you?
That's why MMO's in general are bitting the dusts. Instead of just enjoying the game and taking it for what it is people are always trying to find something to complain about.

Count me in the 60 sorc/slayer club, and I agree with the general idea of your critique.
On a slightly unrelated note: Much like guild wars you offer a meteor storm alternative then imply it should be a fire skill. Meteors probably shouldn't be fire magic. It makes a lot more sense as earth, or maybe even ice. Also, I don't know why the water vortex would heal. I know this stuff is common in mmo/rpg magic, but that's also the reason I feel the need to challenge it. We're on the same page about the issue of uninspired magic classes. I think one of the biggest reasons they feel that way is because they're all recycling the same spells since the dawn of time and trying to act like it's different.
I personally want to see skills for a magic/elemental class that were actually thought out, not just "fireball, fireblast, fire storm, then end."

I understand completely. I'm a big fan of effort = reward. They make it way harder to get than the other mounts and it doesn't do anything to justify that.
Anyways, I also like the idea of being able to scale mounts to the highest speed mount you personally own.
SymonSeventeen on 08/11/2012, 08:58 AM
I've seen a few people, and I'm on one of the lowest populated servers. I don't know that it's worth all of the effort though... different strokes I guess.
I have max rep and credits now, because I wanted the panther mount. But now that I realize the effort put into it, I don't want the panther anymore. So, I'm not going to buy it.
If it was faster or did something cool it might be worth the effort/cost, but... no.

I'm surprised no one has ever attempted the Black Panther mount.
I've decided to give it a go and run those required quests. Don't believe I've ever seen anyone riding the Black Panther mount.
