VenomCFS's Post History

I just wanted to say, on behalf of Conviction, good for you Po. I'm glad to see you finally saved the people of your guild from Spart, and I hope you continue on to great success. I'll be wandering through your land one last time soon (one last alt to go) and I'll be glad to not see a Crux logo while I do so. ^^b
Bump.

Info: The reviewer is a long time MMO player, a member of my guild, and has played both NATera and KTera, along with many, many other MMO's. As everyone said, reviews are simply opinion, and everyone is entitled to theirs. Personally, his review rang true for me in most aspects, and I wanted to share it here for the community to read. If you don't agree, that's great, and I'm fine seeing other opinions on the game. What I would like to not see is people who are so close minded or self righteous that they think their opinion is the only right one, and think calling something or someone stupid, idiotic, etc. is a somehow worthwhile statement. If you don't agree, you can certainly say so without making childish and demeaning comments like some angry school boy. Thank you to the folks on this thread who kept the discussion mature, regardless of your opinions, and to the rest, please keep your hate to yourself.
Just wanted to give a heads up to this excellent review of Tera from the folks at RPGFan dot com.

Later all.
I just want to jump in as a guild officer of one of the guilds Spartacus attempted to recruit:

Spartacus is the kind of person I would like to have nothing to do with, whether its as a member of a guild he's in, or as a member of a guild in alliance with him. I'm very glad I don't have to deal with either of these circumstances. Thanks to discussions among the many of the guild leaders on the first two pages, along with the slimy way he approached our guild leader, Conviction caught onto his shenanigans early and avoided being caught up in it.

As for the Crux membership, I think zerg inviting at island of dawn is bound to put a bunch of bad apples in your guild when you have no standards for invite. That being said, I certainly don't automatically assume that if they have some form of Crux logo above their character that a player is going to be subpar or rude or something of that nature. I will party with crux members, do dungeons with them, etc., as long as things go well and people behave like adults I'm fine with whomever. My only problem is the roughly a half a dozen rude, or subpar players from among the various crux guilds that I've encountered. People doing things like following you and purposely jumping in and kill stealing quest mobs, or BAMs. Just two nights ago I ran into a member of Crux Black that wiped a dungeon run. He was very politely asked to wait a little bit before jumping in to attack mobs pulled by the lancer, so as to avoid further mass links (he jumped in early the entire run, finally ending with a link that was much more than the party could handle), at which point he said nothing was his fault and insulted our mothers and logged out, resulting in us calling the run only halfway through. I am very aware that these players are a tiny portion of your membership, but when you zerg invite and have 700+ players, you tend to end up with a lot larger number of these folks, even if they are a small minority of the whole. This in turn results in your guild getting a bad rep, since people encounter these bad apples more frequently. When this is stacked on top of the bad press that Spartacus has caused for Crux, you end up being the lepers of the server, regardless of the quality of your good folks. Unfortunately, as with many things in life, the minority tend to ruin things for the majority. Reversing this bad rep Crux seems to have earned will take a lot of work from the guild leadership and membership, but if you have the kind of quality folks you say, then it should be very doable for you. :]

Now, I am an officer of Conviction, and as such, I have tried to leave the actual politics of what is going out of this discussion, because I understand the challenges of being in guild leadership. Dealing with political fallout on top of general guild bashing is the last thing anyone in that position wants to deal with. I hope what I have offered regarding the membership of Crux as a whole has helped some, and I plan to continue treating Crux members just the same as everyone else I encounter on Blightwood. I wish the best of luck to all of Crux's membership, and to you Master.Po.

As an officer of Conviction (Iliana.Ivanova) I really appreciate the shout out Rahlo. Just as an addition, I wanted to give a shout out to:

First Generation
Best In Show

These two guilds also have some great people who I've had a lot of fun with.

MP regen crystals do not overpower the MP degen. At most they help with solo leveling to decrease the number of basic attacks you need to use.

Actually, with 4 I can sit around town with full MP at all times on Slayer. For soloing normal stuff I can go a couple mobs (at lv55+ mobs have a 100k life sometimes) without having to use basic attacks. For stuff like BAM's though I equip boss damage/boss crit/normal crit gems to maximize my damage per skill.

Hey Blightwood folks! Iliana.Ivanova here, one of Conviction Tera's founding officers. First off, I want to thank everyone who came out to our Fight Club event last night! It was a lot of fun and we plan to do more of them in the future! Now, back to smiting world bosses..

As anyone who has leveled to around 39 so far may have noticed as they were running around Shakan's Revenge, there is a lv42 world boss by the name of Terkasia sitting right by the camp. So, Conviction being the crazy kids we are, the three of us out there questing decided to give it a go. Party setup was Lv39 Lancer, Lv39 Slayer, Lv40 Priest. The fight was fairly long with only one DPS class, but it went smoothly despite a stun move the boss used a few times. Unforunately I couldn't get a recording of the entire fight (free trial fraps ~_~), but I snagged a few screens as we killed it until it was dead. :D

As we were fighting... :::

Kill Shot! :::

The blue drop you see in my log there was a Lv41 necklace. The fight was a lot of fun, and we're looking for more bosses to hunt down, so expect more pics and vids as retail progresses! See you all in game!
