If I can't say anything nice, I won't say anything at all.

I do like the PvP, but I have to agree with the OP, and in fact, I cancelled my sub last week, a pre-concurrence to that agreement.
TERA itself has rubberbanded. It went from just another MMO to the ads where they claimed it was a game for truly skilled players (ie FPS players), jaunting it all the way to TERA: True Action Combat.
Play it for a while though, get a character to 60 and get yer IL to the 140s.... then, you realize that long ago it had rubberbanded back to being a just another MMO, but you were to0 busy being happy with the fact that you didn't have to tab target yer enemies to notice.
OP, here is the thing!
You seem like a good lancer. Many lancers really suck at the game, a lot. These are the lancers who are acting like they are actually the best and kicking people repeatedly and sometimes for no reason at all just because stupid=arsehole 99% of the time, due to the fact that they are mad at the world instead of trying to actually understand it.
Then you have the epeen lancers. These lancers are fully geared and expect everyone to deal with the situation when they pull entire f***ing rooms without warning. Just because THEY have gear everyone else should be able to keep up with them or gtfo.
The fact of the matter, OP (and anyone else who was thinkin on it), is that TERA is definitely a good MMO. It needs a bit of work. It's new. For 25 bucks, you have 30 days to try the full experience and decide for yourself.
B-B-BUMP
agreed with beats. Also, IVoXI, completely wrong there. There were thousands of people putting up with it. Now, there are still] thousands of people putting up with it. Because most of them don't see the problem. Maybe because there isn't one? Yup.
and you wonder why I could care less if instanced pvp destroys OWPvP... but realistically - it's our [filtered] player base that destroys OWPvP with or without instances. everyone is so afraid of losing they'd rather zerg or run away.
everytime pvp "could" happen - they just bring a higher level character to kill you
everytime pvp "could" happen - they just run to a safe zone and wait for guildies
everytime pvp "could" happen - they just hug the safe zone incase they start losing
everytime pvp "could" happen - it doesnt. and it results in someone standing in a safe zone talking trash.
everytime pvp "could" happen - people riding by feel the need to "protect" players from 1v1s.
while avalon has these tendancies... it's no different than most... I made the joke about my experiences in CBT's with avalon being the "michael phelps" guild - because everytime at the 32 cap I saw them, they'd run straight for water and swim out until I left. to the point that even 2-3 would run from me while I was solo out into the water.
but I try not to judge and entire guild based on the actions of most of their players... there are probably some solid avalon players out there... can't think of any that stuck out off the top of my head - but im sure there are a few.
most, like most people in the game - are dirt bags.
