It's random, some days you will have it, some you won't. The quest starts in the same location as the other UFI quests. If you don't get it today, check tomorrow.

Also it's the worst [filtered] daily going.

Oh, great.

Thanks for the information :)
According to http://tera.enmasse.com/game-guide/factions/unified-theory-institute that, you can get the quest once you are level 60 and have "Friendly" rank with the Unified Field Lab.

I am level 60, and just now got Friendly rank with them, yet I cannot find a single green exclamation mark quest anywhere around Allamanthia or Westonia (where it says it takes place).

How do you start this quest?
At various points in the game, I've run into some random Popori (male, not Elins) NPC characters that aren't wearing any pants.

An example of one (to prove I'm not full of crap) is here (not my picture though): kiasa.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/Popling.jpg on the left. That Popori NPC clearly does not have any pants. That NPC is clearly a Berserker due to the huge ax on it's back, so it's heavy armor of some sort.

My question: Is there any player-accessible armors/costume pieces/anything in the game for Popori which are pantless like that? If so, what's it called or what tier/style (heavy/light/cloth) armor is it?

Thanks.
I had this issue about a week ago when I first bought Tera. Getting it again, nothing in the FAQ ever worked, and still doesn't.

What does work for me is waiting until early AM hours to update. Maybe the servers have issues with thousands of people updating at once. Makes sense in my opinion, since every other MMO does too.
Thanks for the help everyone. I must admit I'm happily surprised by the niceness of people here, I was expecting to be insulted and called a "noob" by practically every post.

Off-topic question: Are people usually like this in-game, or is that where the community's less-than-good reputation truly shows itself?

Slayer and warrior play almost nothing alike.

Slayer is both agile and slow at the same time. Your swings, your powers, all take a bit to activate. There are abilities that can speed this up, and getting a GS with double attack speed also speeds things up, but you just don't attack nearly as quickly as a warrior.

Your avoidance abilities are also lessened. Some warrior skills mitigate damage for the duration of the animation (such as Pounce, Rain of Blows and Torrent of Blows), while warriors have two avoidance powers with invulnerability frames (Death from Above and Evasive Roll).

Slayers have less means of avoidance (Evasive Roll has a cooldown instead of using Resolve, Startling Kick has a longer cooldown than DFA and has no i-frames) and they hit slower and harder. Warriors hit very fast, with lots of little hits--the biggest hits I see on my warrior are 200-300k Scythe crits (granted my warrior is lagging behind in gear at ilvl 151)--while slayers rely on fewer, much heavier hits.

Thanks for this, that actually makes since and is very clear. Warrior sounds better to me, despite the fact they are supposedly harder to play as. I'll just have to get use to them.

Oh, also, you seemed to make a typo. Can you please clarify what you meant by: "Some warrior skills mitigate damage ....., while warriors have two avoidance powers....."? I think you meant to type "Slayer" instead of Warrior in one of those, I'm just not sure which.

Panda - I have no idea what either are. As for not knowing action games, you're pretty right. I never got into God of War games, and only liked Dante's Inferno because I loved The Divine Tragedy, the poem which it was based on. I'm used to regular hotkey MMORPG's.

Xicor - First point you made is completely moot, as I clearly said "DPS Warrior", not Tank Warrior.
The second point is not related to actual gameplay at all when fighting, just stats.
Third point, again, is moot because it's related to Tank Warriors, which is not what I asked.

Iniker - If that's true, it definatly would make DPS warrior faster paced, but they still are both very fast paced, so it's not really an actual difference. Kind of like saying God of Wars games are faster than Dante's Inferno, even though they are essentially the same.

My question, I've read up a lot on both DPS Warrior and Slayer in PVE, and both seem to have these in common, gameplay wise:
1 - Pretty high DPS is geared/crystalled/glyphed right.
2 - Rely on fast movements/agility to avoid attacks.
3 - Blade based melee attacks.
4 - Have some form of debuffs to weaken enemies.
5 - Very fast paced attacking classes.

Meanwhile, they only have these that are noticably not the same:
1 - ......?

Is there any real gameplay difference between the two? Please note that different skill names, animations, weapons used (Twin Sword and Greatsword), etc are all cosmetic, not related to gameplay.

I can't find any true GAMEPLAY differences (again, armor, animations, weapons appearances, etc, are not gameplay related), as they both seem to be fast paced, agile, dodging, blade wielding melee, and use debuffs.

I have not started the game yet, trying to work out a support issue with a ticket, but when I finally get in-game, I'd like to know.

Across various Tera websites, I see Slayer skill lists, people saying what makes Slayer good, etc. Desperate Swing almost always comes up, saying it's an extremely good skill.
Trouble is, I can't find it on the official list, nor any move that even sounds like it.
http://tera.enmasse.com/game-guide/classes/slayer/

Is the list on this website not complete, or was this skill removed form our version, something else? Explanation please. If it is indeed available to us, what level is it learned?

Crap, right after posting I saw Fury Strike has the same thing with low HP = greater damage. Is that Desperate Strike?
