Good point Slubber.
By the time they actually do change BGs, for better or worse, my guess is that arenas will already be a boring thing of the past.
Not saying they would give additional rewards for people playing in a 5man queue. It was just an idea to create a more competitive atmosphere for a queue like that. There is a lot to work on when it comes to balancing BGs, no doubt.
I can't queue with a couple friends anymore cause of the way BGs are with the recent changes. We go against 2+ 5man groups with a bunch of PUGs on our team and lose horribly. Why the hell isn't there a 5man queue yet? Make the premade 5man teams queue in their own bracket and break down normal queues into smaller groups of 3 or less. BGs are [filtered] pointless now for anyone that isn't stacked on a team of premades.
>I can't queue with a couple friends anymore
>Make the premade 5man teams queue in their own bracket and break down normal queues into smaller groups of 3 or less
Hypocrit who doesnt have 5 people to queue with and wants things to suit him so he can have the OP queue system of him and his 2 friends queue together to be better than the solo queue and win anyway.
I'm really surprised they don't take advice like this seriously!
Actually I do have MANY groups to queue with. Many 5man groups but because of the nature of the time I log in and play Tera the past couple weeks the 2 or 3 groups online running BGs don't always have a spot for me.
I never said I didn't have a group to queue with, I said queues with me and a couple friends get rofl-stomped by 5-10 strong shouldered individuals that happen to all queue together in the same party and usually in the same guild.
There are a LOT of people that queue with 3 or less. With that said, I quote myself.
"Again, more small premades means a larger pool of players to be spread out on each side and as a result having more fair matches. The chances of having a complete team of random mixed solo or duo queues going against a complete team of 3man premades is far less than if smaller groups of 1-3 go against a couple 5man teams and get annihilated. (Current BGs)"
Now with all that in mind, look up the definition of ******Hypocrite****** and find the hypocritical statement.
Oh wait.. you can't because you don't even know what hypocrite means let alone know how to spell it.
People getting butthurt on things they aren't forced to purchase.
Ahahaha
People saying words.
Ahahaha
Hahaha Haha Haha?
At least Tree responded to us.. Which means things like this don't get overlooked.. Which means they might fix this and going forward not do this again.
I'm one of Tera's biggest supporters. Some even accuse me of being an NC Soft - paid troll, which I think is quite funny - but I digress.
Cash shop crystals, cash shop alkahast is P2W.
Not acceptable, in a subscription based game - and I will absolutley quit Tera, if these items are not removed from gym bags.
Vanity items is one thing. Items used to make your character stronger is another.
I could give 2 [filtered]s about what Mafia Wars or any other Facebook game sells. So comparing Tera to a FB game is meaningless.
This is complete Bull [filtered] EME -
Yeah I was pretty shocked that he was willing to compare TERA Online to a FaceBook or website game, as if they are exactly in the same category. Some of us already saw this coming from miles away. Once you introduce a cash shop, in almost every instance it "Will" be a slippery slope with no end.
EDIT: I was going to buy the Sparkle Pony, thankfully I did not when I saw what EME implemented. Thankfully I am in an awesome guild and had someone give me the gym suit for my Elin; thereby bypassing this whole nonsense (not to mention what you guys have said already).
When you have ANYONE in your company comparing a real game that you want to be famed for to a F2P or website/facebook game, in regards to ANYTHING.. Let alone a business tactic, you got a serious problem on hand.
Consider this : Allow the purchase of items directly and make people that want that item happy. You're going to make money regardless this way. The more items introduced, the wider the array of items people will buy, the more money you will make. Every once in a while offer discounts on certain items as added incentive to have people purchase them like the black friday sale.
I'd like to see the company make more money and fix issues their game really needs to fix while working out the bugs and adding new content.
Every time RNG Heart Thrust doesn't land on a stationary CC'd target I shake my head at how [filtered] like that can be overlooked by a developer and not corrected sooner.
I submitted a ticket about this the first night of the patch. You should too. They need the feedback. They definitely need ideas because what they came up with is total JUNK.
I said :
BG is bull [filtered]. You are still allowing premades with pugs. The point increase did not have anyone move over to the 15 vs 15 bg. Assists only give 1 point. So a loser BG usually ends in a negative score. Leaving counting as a loss is not going to stop me from leaving. Cause I leave with losing almost the same amount of points. Last BG was 10 under-geared TR/CH people pug in it against a almost full premade ( 2 five-man groups). I had 4 deaths and 7 assists as a priest + the loss. By your scoring that means I got 7 points for assists and then lost 4 for dying and then another 15 for losing. Well I lost 12 points on my ranking. I should have just left and not wasted my time. Would have only been 3 points more loss towards ranking. Nice flipping math right? You should not have made loser buff at 2k points. You should have had it only apply at 1k points dependent on gear ilvl per player.
Also do something about assists giving 150 points. That's another bull [filtered] item right there. Anyone leaving with the extra 50 points doesn't get any bell credits for it. 1 assist you only 150 points = 1 credit, 2 assists = 3 credits. So as a priest I am constantly losing credits for odd number of assists.

Thanks for the battleground Feedback after this week's patch. it is always nice to see people passionate about the game to send us immediate feedback afterwards. I will forward this on to our developers as I have no control over any of this, but I think you have excellent points and hope that these get worked out better for you in the future.
If you have any other questions please let me know.

I will put in a ticket. Meanwhile I'd like to bump this.
I did not say ban premades from PUG BG queues, I said reduce the number of people within a premade that can queue. The population in Tera isn't too small to add 5man group queues and I know guilds that would run it. Add incentive to run it and compete if it's a problem. An extra 20 credits for queueing 5man competitive. That's 100 for a loss and 150 for a win. Already sounds good to me when I have 4 others to run with. There are many premades that queue throughout the day.. Enough for a few of these to go on at the same time.
Again, more small premades means a larger pool of players to be spread out on each side and as a result having more fair matches. The chances of having a complete team of random mixed solo or duo queues going against a complete team of 3man premades is far less than if smaller groups of 1-3 go against a couple 5man teams and get annihilated. (Current BGs)
Regardless of gear or skill or poor leadership, people do not need to be penalized for queueing small or solo in BGs.
The current BG set up almost completely disregards and penalizes anyone with a team being a majority of random players.
I've pretty much quit BGing myself unless in a group of 5 and I'm sure many others have as well. You make the penalties worse for grouping against premades when you should of looked into the satisfaction of your playerbase running BGs as a whole. It honestly doesn't make sense for someone like me who plays the game for the combat/PvP and wants to queue with a friend to get some "instant action combat."
After the recent patch all I get from BGs is some "instant action FU" unless I'm stacked with 4 others. Even then there's a chance to get randoms on your team and go against a couple 5man premades.

- Reason: Added line.
If they added a new bracket of 5man teams to queue that doesn't necessarily mean they would need to cut the rewards and I'm sure people would run them steadily. If for some reason guilds like Shatter or Secret or Man Up didn't decide to run premade groups of 5 then just as I said before it would create a much larger pool of smaller teams and BGs would be more fair.
The 15 man queue is their respectable tournament queue and it's acceptable to have rewards diminished because of just that.
Many smaller premades would be much more manageable and would easily make the odds more equal as opposed to their current set up. It's the most effective simple solution to the problem.
I initially was fine with this since I thought the gym clothes would be standalone purchases as well. This method though is just a crock. Interesting enough, they did the same thing with the Halloween Masks but it didn't get any attention. Regardless...

Exactly my thought.

Tired of RNG. Tired of stupid decisions without regard of Tera's consumers.
Here are suggestions on how to balance your BGs.
Make normal queues only available to 3 or less party members so there is a better pool of players and removes the chance of going against a team of 2-3 5man premades when your team is consisting of mixed PUGs from different servers.
Make 5man premade queues their own seperate queue so they can go against other 5man premades. This makes premade bgs more fair and competitive and fun for the 5man teams.
All this recent patch did was make 5man teams rule over BGs even more and make people who just want to queue with a couple friends or solo queue not want to play your BGs when they get matched against teams of 5.
BTW your penalties for leaving BGs now is like a big middle finger to those people who get matched up against premades and it hasn't really changed how people leave BGs.
I was just in two matches where we were against premades and within the first 15 seconds 3 players and 5 players in the first and second match left the game...
A serious suggestion on how to improve BG content for EVERYONE,
Larva
