We've been working hard on bringing TERA to North America, and have also had a hand in shaping TERA specifically with our gamers in mind.

Sorry, but so far you have been shaping the game to make it as much a wow-clone as possible, looking over the last year's changes and/or hints about changes.

Removed private stores – we removed private stores from TERA so we could make the broker system the central hub of the player economy. We’ve increased the limit of items that can be sold from 8 to 50 and think this will help players to go to one place to find whatever they need

It already was central. You changed it from central to the only possibility.

By their very nature shops - they are meant for materials, consumables, exquisite items, large batch sales where unconstrained quantity is important - naturally complementing the AH.

What about buying ? what about avoidng taxes ? What about opening shops in places without broker ? What about no quantity constraints ? What about social/personal element ? What about players wanting from time to time to stress a few braincells ?

Anyone that was bothered with shops, could simply turn them off. One checkbox click and poof. It was simple win-win solution. And yet you managed to screw even that.

Implemented Bind on Pickup (BoP) items – For some items, we’ve implemented a BoP system which lets us give better equipment to players without having to worry as much about RMT farming items.

RMT has nothing, or ever had anything to do with it. BoP is not used (or ever was meant as such) to be a countermeasure against farmers. It's a constraint forcing people to rerun the same minimal content over and over again. Mindlessly.

It's YOUR JOB job to keep the RMT out of the game. Get the lazy "GM"s and make them DO something - like ban obvious farmers and even more obvious shops of theirs. Opening your own RMT business (chronoscrolls), banning large chunk of the world's IPs (with technically clueless/delusional and on top of that - stereotypical excuses) or dumbing down the game is not a solution.

Furthermore, you completely forgot about enchantment fodder - this stuff is supposed to be tradable and used up.

Removed Boxes of Mischief – I personally have a negative winning streak with these, and overall we felt that it was a chance based system that frustrated more players than it benefited.

'we' or 'you' ? 'felt' or actually bothered asking anyone ? Was anyone forced to use boxes ?

There are a lot more changes and enhancements that we’ve been working on, and as we get closer to our OBT and Launch we’ll keep sharing what we’re doing so y’all know what to expect and give us feedback.

I get cold shivers even wondering what else you are planning to break or dumb down.

What's the point of the feedback, if you don't care about it ?

IP blocks ? chat filter ? elins ? and now BoP changes ? shops' removal ? item removals ? other of your awesome ideas ?

Want a feedback ? Very well. As it's impossible to reason with your (or Knox's, or whoever else's) "best ever" ideas - consider opening "classic" KTera server, without your westernization ideas and enforced babysitting, including at the very least:

- no BoP changes
- no shops' removal
- no (already insanely blazing fast in KR) XP curve changes
- without sensless items removal
- with strict KTera pvp ruleset
- without chat censorship

And other things you consider breaking (consider using in-game questionaries FIRST, before deciding about anything - how hard could that be ?).

Wanna please your playerbase ? Show it. And don't forget about Europe.

Fully agree with above.

EME maybe you should consider:
REMOVING Fortune Eggs since they give you RANDOM rewards?
Item stats after identification are also RANDOM, so remove "Enigmatic" items.
REMOVE enchanting, it's too RANDOM.
Anything else is RANDOM? Just remove it.

I have feeling that you somehow mistook "westernization" for "castration" of the game...
RNG never was friendly, i've played Lineage 2 and Aion and i know how it made ppl suffer and rage quit. Crafting in l2 was a pain, if you were lucky enough and got your recipe(60%) you still had to gather mats and be lucky enough to craft it, and after that was enchanting, another gamble.
Aion and Fenris quest, crafting expert part wasn't any better...

Why do ppl enchant their gear? To be better that someone else, right? If you make a system where everyone will be guaranteed to get their gear to +12, then what is the point of adding enchanting at all? Just make an NPC which can add your weapon glow for alot of money...

If i spend alot of time playing the game i expect it to somehow reflect that fact ingame, be it high enchant or whatever.

Also as Fyrewolf mentioned, there is this satisfaction after you've got your weapon to +12, saw that server message and recived few congrats whispers.

You can use enchant powders to prevent (or at least minimize chance) item from downgrading:

â—˜ White = Normal success rate, chance to downgrade if failure. Most commonly used powder type as it is very cheap and sold at every general merchant store.

â—˜ Pink = Higher success rate, chance to downgrade if failure. Least used powder type, it is relatively expensive and can still cause the gear to downgrade if the enchantment is a failure. This item is only sold in the luxury shop which can only be enabled by Vanarchs (Lords).

â—˜ Blue = Normal success rate, minimal chance to downgrade if failure. This powder is only used from +6 up to +12, it is very expensive but worth the price. The minimal chance to downgrade means that the gear will almost never downgrade from +6 to +12, although it can happen. This item is only sold in the luxury shop which can only be enabled by Vanarchs (Lords).

yep it's so much better when you get everything delivered on a silver plate WoW style...

Put some effort in your gear, kill those mobs, do those instances and enchant your gear, don't expect everything will be given to you just because you play this game.

WoW spoiled too many players.
