Zacko's Post History

Hi! I've been getting some annoying FPS drops lately on the european Tera, and my problem seems to be related to the user interface too.
I've got a pretty good computer, win7, i7 processor clocked to 4,2Ghz, GTX590 graphics card, watercooled and more than enough RAM for Tera. I can play any other game without any lag, and all temperatures and memory usage looks good when playing Tera, but even so, I've started getting more and more lag since recent patches.

I've started to get FPS drops when playing instances and just doing general questing, but I also go down to 1-5 FPS when interacting with certain objects, opening my inventory, and when I'm resizing the chat log.
Most of my FPS problems go away by turning off the UI, but I like to keep track of my hp in instances and PvP...

There are several threads about FPS drops on the EU forums:
https://forum.tera-europe.com/showthread.php?t=70699
And some of them are directed towards the UI-problems:
https://forum.tera-europe.com/showthread.php?t=88315
https://forum.tera-europe.com/showthread.php?t=95476

I've tried several things like reinstalling flash, updating drivers, updating K-lite and even formatting & reinstalling windows from scratch, but nothing seems to work.

Enmasse seem to care a bit more than Frogster, and if a solution is found here, then it could probably help us europeans too!
Are there many more threads like this one? I'd like to know if this problem is as big for you as it is for us.

Could someone please help me with Chained skills. I open the chained skills and when there the trigger skill cannot be reset, nor does it have combative strike, pounce, vortex slash (none of the openers to chain blade draw)

Am I missing something here because this is kinda ridiculous

This has been discussed before. Those skills are already chained together, just go and try it out.
All skills that chain into traverse cut and blade draw are already chained for you and cannot be edited.
I've played a few dungeons in the beta, and I've noticed that stamina potions are really great since they decrease the downtime when someone dies, but so far, I've only gotten stamina potions from lucky eggs.
Is there an easier way of aquiring them?

While browsing the general store for stamina potions, I also noticed a bunch of weird "nostrum potions" which seem to buff melee or ranged attacks.
Are those useful? Does anyone buy them regularly, or are they as useless as bombs and mischief machines? (Okay, bombs might be useful from time to time, but I prefer my 1 free inventory space =])

I know there's a "tera answer"-section, but I prefer to ask in the forums :]

I also found this to be weird, but when I got blade draw and traverse cut, then they automatically chained themselves to pounce, vortex slash and combative strike.

They're bound to specific trigger skills by default. Use any of the skills mentioned in the tooltips and they'll appear.

Oooooooooh...
Thanks dude : ]
I was testing it out in Velika and thought it didn't work at all, but then I went out and hit a mob with combative & pounce, and they appeared like you said ^^
Thanks

Weird... I just got Traverse Cut and Blade Draw on my warrior on the EU beta, and I immediately went into the skill chain settings to set Blade Draw to go off after Vortex Slash, Traverse Cut and Rising Fury, since you said that you don't even keep the skill (blade draw) on your bar...

But I don't think I can?

NONE of these skills show up as "Trigger Skills", and I can't figure out how to change them?
Instead I have LOADS of crap skills as "trigger skills", like Command: Attack/Follow (for the shadow clone).
Why would I want to chain something after "command attack"? : [
Is there any special method to changing trigger skills when making your own chains?
Or is this some kind of restriction on the EU client?... : |

In part 2 of the Queen of argon its looks as if BHS is transitioning the warrior into a support dps class and moving away from tanking.
...
More precise notes will be available with the August patch notes

Your quote is from the august patch from last year.
It's old news, and skills like Blade Draw, Pounce and Traverse Cut did improve the DPS of warriors, but they're still tanks with good damage, not a "support dps class".
The new patch gave warriors a combo point system, which mostly improved the Battle Cry skill, and they're not moving warriors away from tanking at all.

I keep Blade Draw and Traverse Cut on my bar because the K-tera lag sometimes does not give me my combo box so i just do it manually. On EU/NA i never have it there.

But isn't it good to keep them in your bar to keep track of the cooldown?
It'd be great to just learn the hotkeys and turn off the skill bar UI, but some cooldowns are really important to keep track on, right?

i've to admit i hate the lack of customisation on the en mass forum ._. - this will take some time for proper editing

At least there's an edit button now : D
And the dark background + light text looks so much better than the
dark text + white background on the european forums =]

Also, this guide deserves to be a sticky.

Nalfen's Warrior Guide
Eziel's Lancer Guide
Luciferia's Priest Guide
Delak's Sorcerer Guide
Sedlina's Archer Guide

Now we just need a Berserker, Mystic and Slayer guide and we'll be good to go.
