Gallus on 04/24/2012, 01:17 AMPolarium on 04/24/2012, 12:16 AMAll right, a well known issue: GPU operates at 30-50% and fps are low, around 25-35. Once GPU goes 90% busy, you get 60-70 FPS. Note, that Battlefield 3 and Mass Effect 3, for instance, keep your GPU 90% busy all the time. So its the game`s end.
EnMasse, not sure if you`re aware of this problem, but it definitely needs your attention and some performance tweaking. Average computer, i5 2400 + 560 Ti + 8Gb 1333 Ram should run this game like butter at all conditions, so make it happen.
Your system is lacking. 2400 is solid enough, but +$30 on a 2500k would have netted you an extra +1000mhz, maybe even more, on OCing power.
560ti is a very weak card, Most newer games don't even run smooth unless you have 2x of them in SLI.
For example, 1920 x 1080 resolution using 560ti solo benchmarks
Crysis 28fps
BF3 27 fps
Crysis 2 DX11 +high res textures 31fps
Aliens VS Predator 30fps
Sorry but 30FPS is hardly playable imo, and considering MMOs have can have a lot going on at the same time (Huge GvG, tons of people and NPCs on screen in towns, raids, etc) You're going to get huge dips in performance,
To consider your gaming rig "Good enough for butter smooth FPS in all conditions" is extremely laughable unless you're running some really low resolution.
This is the post from someone with little to no knowledge on the subject. You don`t even bother to read the first post.
Facts: 560 ti on my rig shows 60-70+ fps in BF3 in HD resolution on maxed out settings + FXAA injector for sharper textures and antialiasing, ME3 on max goes 70-80 most of the time. TERA shows 60-70+ on max but manages to drop down GPU performance/fps at certain periods of time to 25-35 fps . You care to explain by what miracle you get 27 fps on a 560 ti in BF3? I can`t imagine what outdated CPU one must have to get such low numbers..
And in the future avoid telling people that 560 Ti is a weak card for modern games, this is laughable indeed.
