ZerachielThalos's Post History

It's quite unfortunately few and far between, and the event hosted so far was less impressive. Not due to lack of effort on the organizers part, I think they put a lot of work in and did great. =) But just for he larger percentage of attendees not even being serious Role-players. It's the closest we have, just a bit unfortunate that things are so torn by the lack of available features. Nonetheless if you know where to look on BC there are nice little pockets of RP goodness. ~|The Corporation|~ is a fledgling guild-seriously we have an active core of sadly only 5 members- but we host a rich storyline involving a trading company seeking to increase influence across Arborea for personal gain. The general theme is a good intending organization that through it's choices tends to edge along a much darker purpose than it's intent. It's all lore friendly and been a blast, and my only point is I know there are other guilds out there with similar initiatives of having an actual storyline that people can entwine their own story lines with. =) It's there, just a bit harder to find and network than one would hope.
I just meant large-scale PvP features. =) I want to have epic story fueled battles, an Ambush in the Jungles of Ostgarath against an opposing faction, or a proud stand on the rolling fields of Velika, a nice 20v20 full platoon stand-off. There's so much potential for epicness that just fell flat on its face. And from a non-RP standpoint I do love BGs to break up the heavier playing with some casual good ol PvP fun. That's all rumor and hear-say so there's no fact to support it and I'm hoping it's false but there was some concern over BGs and PvE servers. Though a GvG on PvE servers might be enough for me to roll over to CH. Just would sting after all the time invested and the money... I ended up springing for a sword on my lancer just cause it's spiffy, lol.

Rawrg, never give up, never surrender! We need an RP-PvP servers to make tasty with the vittles. A lack of ability to be able to both spontaneously RP; or what really disappoints me is the fact that on TERA it's PvP at all it seems.... Such a bad design oversight disabling all PvP features on PvE servers... It's unlikely to happen at this point, what with so many giving up and so many nay-sayers, what really crushes me is the fact that if we get pvp features on the RP server i still cant transfer my 40s I spent all this time leveling because theyre on a PvP server.... It's quite the dilema. I forgot what my point is and my opinion counts for less because I've been told i'm stark raving mad but I support this! /Signed
The New Ostgarath Coalition, or [N O C] for short, is a newly founded TERA guild looking to recruit new members and network with the RP-PvP community. While we do have an RP focus we don't require it,and one of our main goals as a guild is to lessen the rift between RPers and non RPers and promote a generally friendly community on the server. We're a friendly group of competitive players, looking always to expand. I regards to our story-line there's nothing overly definitive at the moment; consider it a social experiment, we decided to develop our characters fluidly through the telling of the story to let it flesh out and grow on it's own.(With proper structure tomake it mesh well; lore friendly, etc.) It should be quite a journey and we look forward to having you with us. =)-Running short on time before school, didn't notice the time, so I'll be heavily updating this thread but feel free to post away!-

Who said this is the case?

"Acceptable "statement: Evil western civilization is too immature and childish to handle scantily clad Elin.

"Unacceptable" Statement: Evil eastern civilization is too perverted and outlandish to better cover Elin.

Westernization is treated as a dirty word and appeal to western society is treated as a filthy act while Easternization and appeal to eastern society are treated as steps towards godliness.

I'll add on the fact that that's the mindset of a VERY small minority, and back out for now cause I lol'd but I've spent enough time here, they obviously have a lot of time to spend arguing something that's not going to change and doesn't really affect anyone either way with it being such a tiny triviality. They'll counter anything, feel "godly" and yet the only way they would "win" is if EME agreed with thier 1%, which it doesn't seem to. They can fill up the forums all they want, maybe get a change, but probably not and if they unsub because of it, yay. EMEs profit margins won't be affected by it and as much as they whine I doubt they'll unsub because they know themselves it's a tiny irrelevant thing. Seacrest out.

All the words I wquoted were in your arguement, in that order. Trufax.
Not what I did. Your stupidity makes me weep.

EDIT: But my point -is- that you're ridiculous. I attack character because there's nothing else to attack. This is all opinion, IE the fabric of character.
Well you can say that, but the thing is, you only have opinion, and you have no logical argument. But I do, so, you lose by default, and flail around trying to recover.

Recover what? Winning the mental special olympics? By all means consider yourself a superior winner. Go you shining star. I didn't lose anything cause I don't care in the first place, lol. If they uncensor it won't affect me in the least bit, but I highly doubt they're going to do that. Fact is I'm smiling and done trolling you for now but thanks for beating your head against the wall for a pointless cause for my amusement. ^^ I'll leave you to your "intellectual" debates.

Lol, look at CrumpleCorn so serious. To all of you arguing about intellectual versus non. I forgive you for being biased to your side. Everyone needs to get a sense of achievement in life somehow. ^^ Its okay, you can have your panties, you fierce mental warrior you. There you win. Has EME rolled over for you? No? Shocker.

It tends to make me wonder if I'm biased

Yeppp, that's called bias. When you're certain your side is brilliant and the other side idiots because they don't agree. All sides would lose due to the fact that everyone is arguing about irrelevant opinions and trying to sound more intelligent than they really are. Intelligence doesn't matter when it comes to opinion, and this is such a stupid thing to argue about even if there could be fact supporting it. Seriously, I cant believe how staunchly these 3-5 people argue over something that's done and should be behind us.

Lots of silly arguments in this thread. A few points:

- The ESRB has nothing to do with this discussion. Tons of games that are much worse (more violence, nudity, and language) than TERA and are still rated M.

- It's not toned down all that much. My mystic looks like she's wearing a prom dress in to battle. The Elins are still there, just modified slightly. And huge bouncing breasts are everywhere.

- There is no "censorship" going on here, really, as that implies outside forces suppressing what BHS/EME/Frogster/Whoever wants to do with the game. What we're talking about is adaptation. EME rightly decided to tone down some of the visuals in the game to appeal to the western audience. Their job is not to fulfill some artistic vision, it's to make money. They determined that the game would sell better here (North America) if they made a few changes, so they made them.

You can disagree with their reasoning, but look at it from their perspective. There are two groups of potential customers in play here: Those who think the visuals are unappealing for whatever reason, and those who are unhappy with the changes made. I'd be willing to be that the former group is vastly larger than the latter. It only makes sense to work to win them over.

+1. Pretty sure slacker wins the arguement.
Again you discredited my actual arguement and focus on what you want to. =p Fact of the matter is none of it matters, so yes, Im playing games because I enjoy this. I find it humorous how "valiantly" the lot of you defend nonesense and I enjoy arguing with you and your superior attitude that you can win in a banter of opinion with no backing logic to support either side. Also, I didnt retype your post I did what you did, I removed parts that didnt deal with what I wanted to discredit. The rest of my post was seperate from that. All the words I wquoted were in your arguement, in that order. Trufax.

EDIT: But my point -is- that you're ridiculous. I attack character because there's nothing else to attack. This is all opinion, IE the fabric of character.
