At the default tax rate of 5% Avid is bringing in about 500 gold a day in total revenue from Pathfinder Post (I can show you screen shots if you so desire). Fairly certain I could grind more than that in the time we spend keeping the vendors spawned daily. So for those of you that think running a province is in some way a lucrative affair, I hate to burst your bubble, it's not.
We are actually donating our own money to increase the give away of our lottery each night to a higher amount. Likewise, running Pathfinder post didn't buy the Naga Hex we are giving away at the end of the month, my credit card did. So make your own decision I suppose on how "greedy" the "evil" Avid is.

Leaving all of the rates at 5% is indeed zero taxes added from Avid. Taxes are simply at the default rate the game set them at and likewise are the exact rates that were in place before we took over the province.
Thus, zero taxes.
We stated 0% taxes because we planned on adding zero taxes to the way things were already set up. People like nineteen flipped out when we said zero taxes crying that the minimum was 1%. I simply acknowledged the fact that taxes could not be placed any lower than 1% and that we would leave taxes at what we felt the minimum the game required was.
Pathfinder post has the exact same rates that it did from day 1 of the servers coming up.
Not to mention that once we accumulate the 3k that we spent for running for Vanarch we plan on having a nightly lottery to give away the excess revenue.

Taxes before any Vanarch took office were 5 percent by default in every province. The decision has been made to leave those taxes at their default rates. You will pay no more or no less than what you were already paying.
Thus, "no taxes" have been added.
