Yeah from what I understand this will fix the issue "for now," and EME is still looking to address it with a more permanent solution so it doesnt happen to anyone else. Example being, while those of us in this thread will be able to play(hopefully), what happens if someone else starts experiencing the issue in a few days? It would hardly be practical for them to say "Guess you'll have to wait for weekly maintenance or a server crash!"

And I've been logged into my alt on Dragonfall for about an hour now!

Wally: Sorry for my late night ramblings, it was unfair of me to just assume its a flick of the switch on your side!

I heard Dragonfall crashed in the middle of the night so I'm testing my alt on it now before the actual maintenance...crossing my fingers lol.

As for compensation, I demand a lion mount since I'm just a standard edition. I would also like a statue in my honor in Velika. Preferably near the pegasus platform so when people ride in they see it....lol.

In all seriousness, if they give us something beyond extra time great, if not no worries. Just happy and hopeful this issues going to be behind us!

I am sure you have your reasons for delaying the maintenance and not restarting servers. Still, I cannot understand the decision behind delaying people from playing or even starting to play the game, especially when the game is in its first week of release.


I think this is the key thing that bothers me, I have been extremely patient all weekend, contacting GM's as I(and I presume the CS side) were looking to figure out and address the situation. I understand mmo launches are beasts of chaos most of the time, and I understand things happen. But now we're at the point where we know how to presumably fix the error and allow people to play again.

And no disrespect to Wally, or the EME teams, but it read as basically a restart tonight and restart tomorrow would be an inconvenience on the EME side or on the active players. And to that I ask, wouldn't that minor extra bit of effort or work to solve the inconvenience those experiencing Error: 0104:8000 be worth it? To satisfy customers who have largely been waiting patiently to play the game they have paid for?

And isn't a restart different from maintenance? I thought maintenance was hours long, while a restart is relatively short.
Again I appreciate the updates Wally, but I do find that news to be quite disappointing. Wouldn't it have been possible to just restart the servers one by one? I could be uninformed here so I apologize if wrong, but it seems like the last time a server was restarted it only took a few minutes. An in game announcement that the server will be coming down for a few minutes to fix a bug and people just log back in, no harm done!

Mainly just worried about the "hoping to apply tomorrow" part, whats going to happen if its not ready tomorrow? I know restarts might inconvenience the players playing this late at night(or early in the morning whatever your definition ;P), but what about the inconvenience this problem has been for everyone afflicted by the bug? Most of us have been unable to play with our friends or guild for days.

Anyways just my thoughts, I'm going to bed too!

I'm on PVE Wally, dragonfall to be specific. Can't play any toons there every other server is fine.

Yep last update for me was early evening, hopefully with tomorrow being Monday and with an increased awareness of the problem, we'll see a fix! I plan to update my ticket in the afternoon and see if my nice GM will respond with an update if I don't hear anything beforehand.
I have a very nice GM discussing the issue with me through a ticket and it sounds like they have an idea as to the problem, or have it narrowed down, and we're just waiting on a fix now. I don't want to put words into his mouth though, or get anyones hopes up but I'm sure by now with all of the threads and people contacting support that they are aware and working on it.
