beatea's Post History

So let me get this right, you suggest an idea about a topic and other people cant suggest their thoughts/ideas. So this post should be only what you care about. Let me quote your OP title "weapon glow idea". Maybe you should have titled it "Special weapon glow acquired through cash-shop or/and in-game, idea." And by the way i think is a terrible idea, at least this way i know what my opponent is using whitout the needs of /inspect him. You could have a shiny green glow on your crappy +7 or on your ultimate +12 no way to tell just by the looks, extremely unuseful in BG/Arenas (incoming).

Thanks for the idea though. :)

Sorry if my post came across as snotty, you seem a bit offended by it, that wasn't my intention, I was just trying to keep things on topic. Also another point, I'm suggesting that the glow only be applicable to +12 weapons which means any glow other than red except for reverting back to blue or pink/purple would indicate a +12 weapon. That'd make things pretty easy to identify and keeps things about the same as they are now except for people "sandbagging" by changing +12 weapons back to +7 glows, but when you think about it, this is already in place with armor, I can remod my warrior's +9 fraywind tunic to a lower tier of gear and other pvpers have no idea what my armor setup is like. I don't really see how weapon glows are any different.

I never questioned that. Reading comprehension?

Either way, Client side wouldn't work in a mmo. It'll mess-up the feng-shui of the game. For example: People running around in bright purple armor wielding bright green weapons.

lol what?

Maybe I do have reading comprehension disabilities, seeing as I can't seem to understand your point. Whatever the user wants to see is up to them, your feng-shui is subjective and thus to impose certain color coordination rule sets on what the user may have or may not have is, in short, retarded.

Even at this moment I'm seeing color conflicts with some people's chars, such as bright green armors and red weapons. Your point is moot.

Also, I get that you two are arguing over how it's best implemented, but is it safe to assume that you're both actually in favor of customization when it comes to weapon glow? Just trying to steer things back on topic.

This is how i think glows should be.

+6 and +7: White glow.
+8 and +9: Blue glow.
+10 and +11: Pink glow.
+12: Red glow.

This isn't really a discussion about "how you think glows should be" it's a discussion about whether or not you think a cash shop item or in-game acquirable item should be provided to customize the glow of your weapon. Thanks for your input though. :)
Well if you saw someone with a green glow, you'd know whatever weapon they'd have was +12ed (Ideally the cash shop option would be only available to +12 weapons). The only issue would arise from people who reverted to blue or magenta/pink/whatever you want to call it. In which case you could just politely ask them to link their weapon.
No changes to MCHM, if you're looking for a challenge, there you have it. MCNM queen fight is reasonably difficult as well. I think a slight nerf to ACHM to allow more players to complete it is fine, but it's just my opinion, and I'm sure others will disagree.
So, I was considering making an alt popori slayer, and naming him "furry.yoda" or "furry.little.yoda" or something like that as a joke. And I thought to myself, well that would be cool, except I can't make his weapon glow green, so he'd have to be Furry.yoda from +7 to +11 then darth.yoda at +12 All that got me to thinking, could we have either an in-game "glow template" to change the color of enchanted weapons?

I know several people at +12 who dislike the red and would like to go back to blue or purple. It also brings up the idea of a cash shop option as well. Applicable only to +12 weapons with a myriad of color choices, green, blue, red, purple, orange, yellow, white, black, no glow etc. Another recent MMO had a system like this and searching for rare color crystals was pretty common/popular.

Thoughts?
Hey Nalfen,

Thanks for all the incredibly helpful information so far! It's a great help to players looking forward to QoA2. I have a question for you. Could you give us an update on the state of tanking now that QoA2 has been live in Ktera for a month or so now? What's the general feeling of the community? Are warriors proving to be as capable in content (particularly HMs) as lancers are? What is the general sentiment from the ktera community on the topic?

Thanks in advance!

Something to make gamble feel better about being stuffed in lockers for most of his adolescence and mildly annoy the server.

Beat you? I think you're the only one taking this as a competition..

Also, how about that beer in velika? Thursday? I wouldn't want to interfere with your standing dinner date on friday.

Hey broski, I'm really sorry you didn't find my story entertaining :( I was being completely serious when I wrote it and I worked on it all day. I wasn't really sure if I should've spent that time writing up that post or watching an episode and a half of family guy

30 minutes of precious life is a lot of time to manage wisely, you can't just throw it away. It's gone before you know it, man. Like duuuuuusssst in the wind... all we are is dust in the wiiiinnnnnnd!

Ok Ok, back on point. I'm sure if we ever met we could sit down and have a brewski as broskis to sort this whole thing out. Maybe we can work something out in Velika, I hear it's really nice in the summer!

I am really glad, though, that even though you didn't like it, and you don't take things like this seriously. You didn't bother to do something totally passive-aggressive like quoting it in its entirety in a completely different thread and respond to it there.... Oh wait..

Well, looks like you've been talking to my ex-girlfriend from the 7th grade about conflict resolution and socialization skills. How's she doing by the way? Her mom was a really sweet lady and made a heck of a ham sandwich.. mmm.. sandwiches..

Anyway, I hope we can get this whole thing sorted out. I don't want any hard feelings to stand in the way of me and zeal, my "fantasy guild." I'd be super crushed and might spend 8 minutes of my life fretting over it instead of figuring out the optimal farming path for sloths or how to shave 6 and a half seconds off farm content dungeon runs. That'd be a real waste!

I hope your tournament goes well. I heard the first one didn't really get off the ground, but I think you guys are really gaining in popularity so hopefully this one will go better!

XOXOXO

Your biggest fan,
Azu

P.S. If you need any celeb gossip sites, let me know, I have some good D-list gossip columns bookmarked, since original haters are probably into A-lister stuff, I'm assuming you "haters of haters" are probably down with reading what Danny Bonaduce is up to these days. Let me know bro, and I'll hook you up! <3

Not taking game and yourself seriously ? Sad excuse for being a troll and not being able to do what you must. You want the money the vanarchs get ? Then keep everything open, you'll get more money that way than with just rising taxes.
It's that simple.

Yeah you're right. Sorry

I should have called up my friends and told them that I couldn't join them for dinner on Friday night because I had to log onto my online game at exactly 8:00 pm to start grinding, so my loyal subjects in Veritas could buy their precious e-items.

Get real

Right, instead you called them up and cancelled so you could jack up the tax rate to 15% within minutes of getting the vanarchy.

and let's "get real" here for a minute kefk.. errr... gamble...

.... what friends? :D
