Same here, I am also from Canada. Not sure if that has anything to do with it or not but I know I have funds and when my fiancee purchased her game through enmasse and set up her subscription it went through fine.


I resolved the issue. I attempted to set up the subscription using PayPal as my option, and the order went through. My Account now correctly shows the 30 free days you get upon purchasing the game. I assume after that my chosen three-month subscription will come into effect.

You might want to give PayPal a try [if you have the means to do so]. I wish you the best of luck!
As I posted in another thread, I'm still getting the "Payment authorization failed" error when attempting to set up my subscription, and I'm absolutely sure that the information I entered is valid and that there's more than enough charge on the card.

I submitted a ticket last night, and haven't heard anything since. They are busy, though, so it's kind of expected. Still, since my game time runs out later this evening, it's saddening that it appears as though I'll soon be unable to play. :(

I keep getting the "Payment authorization failure" error, despite making 100% certain that all of the information is correct [and there's more than enough charge on the card]. I already sent in a ticket describing the situation, but considering their massive backlog, I doubt I'll hear from them anytime soon.

Sadly, my game time ends later this evening, so if the issue isn't resolved by then, I will be without TERA, and that makes me sad.

I've heard that people outside of the US [when attempting to subscribe] get flagged by Digital River's system as fraudulent. Since I'm from Canada, could this be the reason?

Well, it seems after today that I will need to take a break from this game.

It isn't by choice [as I played for several hours last night and had a GREAT time], but that my game time runs out later today, and I've found no means of being able to subscribe [thanks to the "Payment authorization failed" error]. I know that the credit card information I enter is 100% correct, and there's more than enough funds available on the card for the charge, so I'm not sure what the issue is.

I've read on the forums that other people are affected by this, so it's definitely not only me. It really is frustrating. I sent a ticket yesterday, but given their current backlog I doubt I'll hear from them anytime soon. I'd wait for the online chat system [or giving them a call], but waiting for hours on-end isn't exactly something I have the time [or patience] for.

En Masse definitely released a great game, it's just a shame that it's plagued by so many of these subscription issues. I'm glad that the majority of people have had their issues fixed, but unfortunately, I am not one of them. :(

Without reading this whole thread.. I just came up with a shiny new boxed copy, put in the activcation code and.. no days, 0 left. So found this forum post.. okay, painful as heck, but okay..

Additionally, the store is broken? I thoguht perhaps I had to use a CC to sign up for a recurring plan, and then it would just not bill until 30 days later.. but it gives an error nomatter which card I use; I thought it might've beren a card problem at first, but on a second card, same issue..

.. so the activation is broken
.. and the CC purchasing is broken

Ouch :(

Instant gratification is king; if we bring it home and can't play, thats a serious dent in satisfaction :)

89 pages, wow, my tears are irrelevent in the face of that :)

edit: Whats curious to me, as a developer is .. why not just disable the activation check on the server side, right off, for valid accounts; I mean, anyone who has put in any form of activstion, disable the verification check outright, just return True. That canm't be too nasty a patch ;) (Been there, done that.)

I'm having the same issue. I double/triple/quaduple checked the information, and it's all correct. I know the card is good since I have more than enough available on it [charge-wise] and I use the card all of the time. Maybe it's because it's because I'm in Canada? I heard that Digital River flags a lot of transactions as fraudulant and therefore stops the subscription process.

Either way, I sent in a ticket [I really don't feel like waiting 3+ hours to wait over the phone/chat system]. Hopefully I'll hear something soon.

I don't believe so. The only way yours should say "Collector's" is if you pre-ordered the digital version through En Masse. This is because all of the pre-order codes offered through retailers are for both the Standard and Collector's Edition, since both are granted the exact same bonuses.

The reason it reads "Collector's" through En Masse, is because by pre-ordering through them, you basically purchase your edition in full at that exact time. It's not a "pre-order" it's a purchase. Thus, your account is automatically upgraded completely to "Collector's".

I pre-ordered the physical Collector's Edition through Gamestop as well, and mine simply reads "Trial".
Yeah, I'm getting the same thing [and I already applied my pre-order key from Gamestop to my account].

It's probably as Calix said. We just need to wait since the servers won't be up for a while.
