I'd recommend transferring servers before your guild moves on to a different game (i.e. members quitting because of the lack in activity on our server). BC has little left other than the sad remains of what was once a great community.

It may be a purely psychological thing - even after transferring servers you'll probably do the same things you did on your old server, with maybe a better economy or other inclusive factors - but the impact of playing with an active community in a thriving atmosphere is more of a game changing factor than most people realize. Very few feel motivated to play or progress on a server that seems to be dead.

For this very reason, our guild (Quixotic) is transferring to VoT this Friday, after reign ends.

Quixotic whether they stay or not, entertained the idea of going there as they placed a post in the topic PvP on VoT.

Although the idea was discussed and contemplated, we (Quixotic) have decided that we will not be making the move to VoT. We will be re-evaluating our decision after the QOAP2 patch comes out and the new content has been explored, and make a final call on whether we want to remain on BC after the current vanarchy reign expires based on the situation revolving around our server at that point.
You and I are on two different pages, Kyo. I don't know why you're so mad that I made a simple quick-fix suggestion that wouldn't hurt at all. If you combined the population of a few of the less active PvP servers, you would basically have a VoT 2.0, which would help solve one of the major problems for servers such as ours; activity.

Yes, obviously there are bigger reasons as to why people are quitting and that activity has been dropping so drastically. The points you brought up are very good ones which should most definitely be addressed. However I'd appreciate it if you didn't take out your anger regarding EME's lack of action on me. I never said the be-all end-all should be server merges and done; it is simply a "step one" suggestion in what should be a long-term plan to retain and bring back TERA players.
Our guild (Quixotic) is looking into possibly transferring to VoT, mainly because PvP on BC is next to nonexistant (most depressingly revealed by our latest arrangements for a 5v5 DM tournament, which had two team registrations).

Just from reading this thread it seems like opinions are very mixed... So my question is, what's the real situation on VoT?

Is it the same in that if we run out in ZF and flag to kill people they'll hide in the safezone and wait until there are 2x-3x the numbers on their side to come back out?

If we GvG someone will they stay in town or safezone hug unless they know the odds (gear, headcount) are in their favour?

Do guild masters actually come out and fight, or are they stuck on alts in attempt to increase their chances of winning GvG's?

What're the chances you can get arranged PvP (DM's, fair GvG fights) going on a daily basis?

I'm really tired of people whining and complaining about these sorts of things when they don't even put any effort into improving themselves skill-wise. I'm also extremely disappointed (yet somehow unsurprised) that the only two teams registering for this tournament were from the smaller guilds on BC.

Minea, I hope you can take something away from this in realizing that looking into server merges right about now (perhaps between JC+FV+BC) would be a good idea. As the situation currently stands, it looks like everyone's going to end up transferring to VoT in the long run, and the rest of the smaller PvP servers will die out =/
