I could give you validation that they HAVE been ignoring this problem since open beta.

It's STILL there.
Except the whole fact that organized groups will always succeed more consistently and more often than pugs.
I would've been happier with a damage buff than a damage reduction myself.
lol severe death penalty? did i read that right? But you played FFXI, so clearly you can't be serious calling losing a few crystals a severe penalty...

What makes Tera's endgame so boring is the entire ride you're pumped up with "player skill, player skill, player skill..." Then you get to endgame and it's "here roll these invisible dice."

that's the entirety of Tera's end game.. LUCK. And despite what MAcross Plus might tell you, luck is NOT a skill. Tera's engame is being lucky enough to enchant [filtered] your were lucky enough to win off of [filtered] watered down content.

Tera is boring because everything we were promised was a god damn lie.

Never going to comprehend WHY a game that was toted from the get go as based more on player 'skill' than gear stats or other stupid crap has an endgame built entirely on random numbers and luck, neither of which have absolutely anything to do with 'skill'.
This game has MOUNDS upon MOUNDS of potential.

The problem is whether or not Blue Hole and En Masse are able to capitalize on that potential.

Which it would appear they're only interested in pissing that potential away while wringing every last dollar they can out of their player base with premium skins and cash shop garbage.

The problem is En Masse and Blue Hole think small time. If they were to actually focus on their game, keep an ear open to their player base and start building they'd rake in more cash than they could know what to do with. Sadly, that isn't what's happening.
I'm just curious as to what happened to the concept that "Hey I pay $15 a month to play this game what happened to special event items being included in that?" Like WoW, Rift, EQ, basically any other MMO out there. Where did this idiotic concept that I need to pay extra for this kind of [filtered] come from?

Of course I know Fanidiots will come on out proclaiming "well they're here to make money." or "it helps support the game you like" yadda yadda ect ect... Whil I agree to a point, this just looks stupidly greedy. New or potential players see stuff like this and be put off. They seriously are, profit or not.

And yes I realize you can get the items TEMPORARILY in game.

Point is, if this kind of thing continues this game isn't going to last much longer. It doesn't have that big of a player base to begin with, and it's turning some of that player base against it. I certainly know I won't be continuing to play if I basically have to spend money every time an event comes along to enjoy it. And blindly defending it won't make it go away any sooner, this is where fantards are actually a detriment to the game.

"Note that these masks are permanent items that are bankable but can't be traded or sold, and are equippable only by characters level 10 and up."

What ever gave you that idea?

So much for people being able to read....

Thank you, didn't know about this, this helps soooo much.

and yes Minea linking that to the actual forums would be amazing.
Whether or not you like or dislike EA/Bioware and their nearing failed venture the TORtanic (SWTOR) One feature that was really nice on their forums was their Dev Tracker.

For those not familiar it was basically just a feed that listed everything a developer or community personnel had posted on the forums which made it easier to sift through the pile and find actual information on the state of the game and future plans.

I found myself always checking that first before I went and looked at any individual threads.

EmE has claimed they want to communicate with their playerbase more, but quite frankly I'm not seeing it. We don't get patch note information until the day of the patch if not a day or two after, which is ridiculous by industry standards. We get very little if any clue or indication on what is on the horizon this is AFTER the fact that they said they were going to communicate more.

But then I thought maybe I'm just not seeing it because I don't want to sift through a thousand pages of children bickering or 15 year old grownups whining.

A dev tracker would do wonders to get what you want us to know out there. Unless that is you aren't talking and/or you don't care (because that's what it's beginning to look like).
