Lancer leash has always been strong in BGs, sometimes you just have to be the person interrupting it. If there is 1 lancer or 2 on the other team you might do it easily if there is another person in the raid that knows how to interrupt them, if you're playing with potato or they have 3 or more lancers then well, you're screwed.

Lancers are broken but not because of chain leash, they are a broken class overall in pvp at the current state.
They really need to have some monkey brained devs at BHS to make a class that can tank enormous amounts of damage and also have the ability to burst down any target within 5 seconds (yeah well maybe besides another lancer). Priests can tank a lot too thanks to their healing potential but they will not dump tons of damage on your face during the progress.

35k crits in the face from a tank, yeah.

I agree that even without Giga Leash they would still be very strong. But Giga Leash just destroys teams and ruins what is otherwise a decently balanced pvp MMO.

Lancer is dull as dishwater to level solo, and the slowest I believe. So I don't mind if they end up with a powerful class at level 60. What I do mind is them being so powerful because of one single OP ability that they basically ruin any chance at a real competition.
I know battles are fast and sometimes you're more concerned with worrying about your own tactics to notice what's going on during a BG on the battlefield, but if you doubt the premise of this thread, I want you to try one simple thing:

Everytime you enter a BG, take a look at the number of Lancers on each side. Note which side has more, and especially if they have a lot more. Then note the outcome of the battle.

I believe you will find, as I have, that basically wins and losses come down to who has the most Lancers. That basically means they are overpowered, plain and simple.

Or you could just notice 1/3rd of a team getting wiped out through the use of this ability Giga Leash, because that happens all the time. But like I said, I can understand if people aren't really recognizing the sheer battle-turning effect this one ability has, because you're usually occupied.

But if you refuse to participate in my little experiment and note for yourself Lancers and wins/losses, then you're just ignoring the truth and you really should refrain from commenting.

I sold all my Nexus credits for maid boxes via MES and only got junk. :x

First (and last- I refuse to spend my night playing Giga Leash = win instead of a PVP GAME), other team had 4 lancers, we had none. Groups go to mid to fight, our entire team wiped out in roughly 7 seconds, with zero kills.

Tell me there's nothing wrong with that.

Just look at the picture....

if you notice the mini map.... im standing RIGHT beside the pyre to the south.. THEY are guess you would call it outside the map area ontop on the cliff shooting at us the whole time.. we cant reach them but they just keep shooting at us.

They had archers and [filtered] up there shooting us constantly... how the hell is this even allowed.

En Masse look into this plz.

You're just upset becaue you can't cheat and use you're OP Giga Leash on them.
Lancers are as powerful as healers in BGs, because of one ability, the notorious Giga Leash. Since En Masse seems unwilling to nerf the ability into something reasonable, I think the matchmaker should focus on making sure that there are equalized numbers of overpowered lancers on each side.

I just came from multiple wins and coordinated fun BGs with this new equalized system only to be set up against 4 lancers and my team had none. The result, despite the best effort of a fully active team, was 92 kills for them and 20 kills for us, and a them winning before my team could even break into 3,000 points.

Just wholesale slaughter thanks to the fundamentally overpowered ability, Giga Leash.

I am ok with them being able to do good damage and being really hard to kill.

What I'm not OK with is them being able to basically wipe 5 players using one overpowered ability. It totally ruins the flow of battle that could be so exceptionally awesome in this game if given a chance.

So ive been doing lots of bgs lately and whenever I get giga leashed there is literally no outs, I just am dead no matter what. I hate to refer to WoW but its like lancers have a deathgrip, ursols vortex, and solar beam. Staggered and useless, it literally takes out a whole entire team. As a zerker I really dont know how to escape this. I always try to stay on the outskirts but the grip range seems pretty insane. Id have to say that this ability is a huge contributor to how crappy the PvP is right now.

It's a broken ability that will continue to take out entire teams until players realize how horribly overpowered it is in PVP.

It's not your fault. There is no counter. The poster above me is theorizing in a dream world and not how pvp actually happens in this game.
