While lancers are amazing 1v1, we are pretty poor in group/guild pvp or deathmatches, you simply dont have that aoe and in any 2v1 situation where its more people against you, you dont have that same effectiveness.

check all DM in alleriya TV http://www.own3d.tv/Alleriya#/watch/583008 and u ll see that lancer isn't useless in 5v5 !!

If u dont have slayer or lancer for CC target (and slayer can't do it in large scale pvp), zerk ll have a hard time to land their charged skills

Oh and just for ure information past level 40, lancer ll have a second single leash, an AE leash, a 60% slow debuff and just a "team guard buff" who absorb 35%dmg for all teamate on a 48secCD

but yeah so "useless" in pvp team :/

flam' barrage doesn't do a lot of dmg at max level and the animation is pretty dangereous for the sorc (even with attk speed)

in 1v1 it's easy to evade lock-on skill ... with dodge skill, rush skill, block/parry

in grp pvp, flamming barrage on 1 person is easily healable with a single heal (generaly FB do ~10.000dmg+ crit ... less without ... heals @40.0000+ hp)

ok it's just a video from 2 players but sorcerer seems really weak against slayer and the root is so easy to escape

3 escapes for sorc, 2 on shareCD (tele and backstep)

think sorc' can be great, but if u know how to counter them and in a few month who focus when u see a pvp team
they strong against player who have difficult to aim (on the beginning on tera, it's easier to dodge/escape/tp thant to aim)

it's more easy to play a sorc (ae skill, lock-on skill) when u don't know well tera and gameplay other than melee
but after ...

I talked about 60 char ... warrior and slayer with backstab/rush/speed ... zerk with inescapable doom ... lancer is lancer :D
don't speak to level 38 when sorc has all (or almost) his evade skill and others class don't have their chase skills

Hum yeah I understand what u said ... prefer more consistent dmg instead of "random" crit

but I like the "crit mecanism" in TERA, like "crit rear", "crit 50%" etc etc (but random yeah)

I just feel that sorc are a little "victim" class (when other players know how to counter them) and sometimes lack a few burst beside their weakness def
it's very difficult to cast a fireblast when u are focus/harass by just one melee (2 classes with backstab ... lancer shutdown everthing with stun/kd/leash ... slayer strong dmg + KD chance etc ...)

without fireblast (and sometimes void pulse) u ll do poor dmg (while an archer can shoot more easily during kite)
It's easy to "PK" with root/sleep/fireblast+voidpulse, but when u don't have the initiative or when player focus u during pvp team it's really difficult and u just run like a [filtered] and kitte with no dmg

I think that there is not "good cristal" for sorc to pvp ... all weapon cristal are crit based, or KD/rear, MP regeneration cristal are useless for sorc ... cristal 50% too risked ...
same for armor cristal ... except HP flat but when u take 60.000-90.000dmg crit from zerk/archer it's not very usefull

while for zerk for example, 50% hp cristal is very nice in offense and defense ... same for slayer with fury strike "combo"

not to mention the "little stun animation" when u are hit by a melee attack, the fact that u ll never KD ure target (or rarely)

when u see videos from sorcier, u see that they cannot cast a lot of fireblast, and without it, their burst/dmg as pretty low relative to others dps class

sorc' is fine but extremely dependant on his team ... good PK class just against "afk pve-boyz players" ;)

did u try (or could u) glyph of carving on arcane pulse

it's said "double crit hit rate for 4sec"

so if u just "tap" arcane pulse and do a fireblast just after, I think u can have a x2 crit rate for fireblast (or another spell)

I like sorc but his small crit hit chance is pretty bad for pvp :/ ... base dmg is higher than other class but at max level they crit less than zerk/archer/slayer or other and have less burst :( (and can't equip crist dmg modifier coz to the low crit chance)
fury strike is fun but not at 50%+ hp or something like that

it's less dmg than other skill when u have 100% hp

I remember at lvl 32 ... 700dmg full life ... 2200+ at 10% hp ... 18.000 crit at 10% hp (with good cristal)

+4.5% Received Heals (Self Heals also work except for the Mystic)

-20% Stun Duration



x2 = -40% stun duration

so yeah it's not halfed + 40% reduction duration but it's extremely reducted with 2 littles earings
where they get cascade of stun and back stab to get behind your block, then practically can keep you stuned for around 10 seconds

stun duration in pvp is halfed and there are earings with -20%stun duration

prolly a heal debuff, but dispel is too easy in TERA (2 healers, ae dispel ALL debuff, low CD), I think a 10sec/30secCD debuff heal is useless for the moment

warrior ll be overplayed too ... may be the first played class
