And if the Elin are "the only thing separating TERA from other MMOs" what's going to happen when B&S comes out? Are you going to jump ship to try out the Lyn?
Male Lyn test really high in the Catholic Priest and Creepy Uncle departments. So the answer to that would be: I would have more problems with a game supporting playing little boys than I would with one playing only little girls.
I would almost guarantee that would be false if someone actually did some testing into that.
Not because those people dislike little boys, but because the people loudest against something are usually closet cases that are ashamed of themselves.
Take homosexual rights as an example, how many of the champions against homosexual's have been found out to be hiring [filtered] prostitutes themselves?
I think its about the same here, people that are able to acknowledge Elin for what they are are for the most part healthy individuals, Weather they like or dislike the Elin have nothing to do with it. But those running around screaming everyone that likes Elins are pedophiles are the ones that really have a issue.

Stereotyping everyone that plays an Elin as a pedophile is like saying everyone that plays a popori is a zoophile (spelling?) or every male that plays a male castanic or male high elf is homosexual. That's simply not true. Was there a study done where they could judge a person's sexual preference based on what race,gender,class a person played in an mmo? I'm sorry I must have missed that. I can honestly care less for anyone's reason for playing any given class or race.
I stated above Elin were ones of my last choices in a race to play. After playing one I had a blast I found it entertaining watching them flip around and jumping backward. I found the animations to be well done. Judging anyone based on that is like 2+2=shoe.
To be honest I have no clue where sexual preference comes in at all. My first impressions of tera was, Aman token bad @$$es, high elves token elves, Elin token cute race. How sex got involved I'll never know. Other then maybe a teenage boy going heheh castanic boobies, I don't see how people got to OMG pedo race. Even then it's laughable that people make a fuss about bikini armor. It's a fantasy game.. I saw star wars as a kid and wanting to be a jedi. Does that mean I secretly wanted some creepy old hermit to teach me? again see the equation above.
This dudes got it right about the ones running around screaming having issues. (disclaimer I do not have children, but my point is valid) Quick scenario. I have someone at my house and my kid is running around acting goofy, playing, being a kid. But doesn't have a shirt on. (I know I was always tearing clothes off as a kid). This person says to you "You got a cute kid " Is that going to instantly set red flags off? How about this, same thing kid running around and the person says to you "I'm really not comfortable with your kid being here without a shirt" I'm sorry that person is headed for a face full of window in a hurry. Are these people that immature where they can involve sex into everything? Or are you that insecure that having an Elin running around is making them uncomfortable?
Its sad and sick that this does really happens I personally play games like this to escape for maybe an hour or two (lol ok maybe more) It's really sad that this cold harsh reality has to be brought into someones small escape from it.

AN....yes I just did grammar nazi you. =) I honestly think it's a good idea. The game allows it given no race is locked out of any class. I wouldn't be surprised to see RP guilds do the same. I will most certainly have one for an alt down the road.
I myself am planning to play an Archer come launch, despite how "underpowered" they may or may not be. I'll admit in testing I feel inferior to some classes at times in pvp and pve. After reading this post I question why any group would take an Archer over any other dps class. I will agree that there maybe room for some improvement for Archers. To be honest it's depressing.
However I think the OP is jumping the gun a bit considering not many including myself have played "end-game" and looking for any reason to cry about why Archers are worthless. I'm sorry but I don't agree with the defeatist attitude. I mean if your so quick to point out every fault in the class, then maybe they are not the class for you.
I'm glad you made some attempt to be constructive by offering a solution, but after that you've done nothing but dump on Archers and complain how every other class is overpowered. I myself don't think they are as bad as your going on about.
Good luck with your "crusade" but your going about it all wrong.

To be honest the Elin were my last choice in picking a race. Only tied with High Elf males, because lets be honest all High Elves are female just ones with boobs and ones without. (easy High Elf fans its a joke) But during beta I decided to try all races and classes, the elin I can say were the most fun. Their skill animations alone are great. Now I would say they are my second favorite race, behind you guessed it High Elves.
As for the ONLY reason I wouldn't go that far. I think the games has a ton more to offer then one race. Then again they certainly are the most "discussed" race in Tera.
