I just recently updated to Windows 8. I backed up my copy of Tera so I wouldn't have to download it again. After the new OS was installed, I copied my backed up game folder to the new drive, and BANG! unable to download manifest. What I didn't realize was that when I copied my game folder to the new drive, it marked it as READ ONLY. After unchecking the READ ONLY checkbox and applying it to all the files and subfolders within, the game fired right up! Hope this helps :)

I bought a digital download of the game back when it was released and played my free month but decided to not play it anymore because of the sub fee. The game remained on my rig til the yesterday when I tried to log back in since it was going free and it came up saying that it was corrupted or at least a file was, so i decided to re-install the game with a fresh DL. Got the launcher installed and now it keeps popping up with unable to download manifest.......I have tried almost everything I have found in this thread and still nothing so I have decided to wash my hands of this and move on and wait for something else that wont have problems with its launcher. Yes there are bugs in every game but OMG if you can not even install the game or the launcher is broken and has been since day 1 cause I remember it having issues back then as well. I am not 100% sure but im saying this now that I will never buy another game from en masse again until i know they can work through a simple launcher issues without having you go into folders and adding lines etc. GL to all those that continue to play this game.


totally agree, never will i buy a game from them again, such a waste of money when you can't even use the product, also poor customer service.
Well, after many months of not playing i though it would be nice to come back and play some TERA but as soon as i try to log in some dumb [filtered] account armor bull[filtered] makes me enter a code that took 4 hours to reach my email. Then finally, i thought i'd have a chance to play, but nope, unable to download manifest, tried all of the troubleshoots, nothing worked. Oh well, thought i might start playing again, no thanks, back to WoW.
well, i can log in now. that is extremely frustrating though how i have to sit here logging in and out just so i can play a bit before work. hopefully this will never happen again, and hopefully if it does. they keep us updated on what they're doing to fix it...(assuming they did something)

Basicly ANY MMO there is a "box" price, and I am sure you are aware of this. I understand you are probably mad cause you can't login, hell I am too, but I would rather them take the time to fix the problems so I don't get problems when I'm actually playing the game.

Usually from past experience, if maintenance is extended for an abnormal amount of time, they usually give you a free day or two to make up for it, so they aren't jipping you out there.

the big problem for me is how they aren't letting us know why the servers are unavailable. also WHY. i hate to say it but its poor customer service.

1 thing they could do is update there server page to show that servers ARE down. So ppl don't get angry trying to log inyo servers that are down..

thats too much to ask for.

Sorry to hear that man, i been able to log in just fine. What exactly does it say when you try to log in?

What issues are you having? I Haven't had any issues as of yet with this game since early access went live. Maybe i can help?



well this thread is about not being able to log into the servers so you could assume that is my issue...
