How are you going to do Nexus on a Thursday? :-p

I'm always a fan of "set it and forget it." I think it took a little while after release for Raptr to pick up Tera by itself. The game was added to their database in OBT or so, but took manual tracking I refused to do.
Amusingly, Raptr links to Xfire. Not sure to what level. Maybe just chat.
It's just another network, I suppose. I've found I like it for what it is, but individual mileage will vary. Also prefer my Google+ to Facebook. :-)
It refuses to automatically detect it, correct. You need to manually add it every time, which is unfortunate but doesn't take long if you don't close it often. >_>

As long as the client is running, it will track your gameplay.
I'd love to gather up some more players on that stream. Same name here as there.
As far as the overlay, I hadn't tried it before in Tera. I did think about it a few days ago though. Happy to know it doesn't work. :-)
I tried clicking the Raptr link on the launcher, and it just sent me to the clothing dying guide over and over. So, I went and signed up for it manually. But, is Tera automatically connected to this, or do I have to do something? I'm a little confused.

I haven't done much with Steam in a while directly, but it covers tracking and communicating with friends across various networks. Steam is included.
Tracks time and achievements across each.
Personally, I just have it cover XBL, PSN, and Steam stuff.
I think the focus is closer to a social network, and more geared towards "gamers" than just "PC gamers."
Ok...so is this like...some hipster Steam or something? I'm not trying to be a jerk I'm truly curious and confused as to what purpose this "Raptr" serves.

- Reason: Checked Steam to answer better.
I have friends on it. I just blanked them out completely, instead of only their names. Also blanked out the time, to try to minimize "you don't have a life" trolling. :-) It's accurate, as I'm 160 hours over you. Well, 161.
That "Get 160 more hours to become the #1 player on Raptr!" is me.
It's not ranking us just based on friends. None of mine are close to me, but I was bouncing between 1 and 2 for a while a few weeks ago.
Just sharing a silly accomplishment. :-) I got a kick out of Raptr having an ad in the Tera launcher today and double checked my rank to make sure and share.

Maybe you misunderstood. Considering you're on the internet, I'm sure you could figure it out without pretending you're edgy.
I don't give a crap if you understand.
I don't give a crap if you care.
I'm awesome.

It would be nice to do this in a party where I didn't need to regenerate mana, but staying out of combat seems a prerequisite for Mana Infusion. Between motes, Titanic Wrath, healing, and repositioning, I've not found the ability to make a reasonable DPS contribution while managing my own mana.
Just to mention, I do not know whether or not other mystics have noticed, or have thought about this but...
If you attack and if you crit, it is actually pretty nice DPS.
I see no reason why players have to think of mystics as solely as a support class because when mystics actually attack, it is damage nonetheless, and if you crit a lot then it becomes noticeable.
I think we are very narrowed down to people always thinking we are only useful for heals and buffs and motes, but we can actually are able to deal damage, although it does not compare to a sorc or warrior's DPS. It is still damage.
I would like to see mystics stop up their game, and actually play as a level 4 class. I mean, if you have a well-rounded knowledgeable team then why just stand around waiting and putting HP motes when it isnt necessarily needed?
We can be a really powerful class if we stop being so narrow minded.
I am not saying.. to disregard supporting other classes when they need it, but if you are in a nice party then take that opportunity.
Just an open thought, what do you other mystics think ;D

I think about this one a lot a a sorcerer. It's a pretty large rotation, and things hit at different (close) times, so the burst can happen very quickly and the aggro table can be amazingly fickle. I run towards the tank the first time it happens. If he fails to pull it back, you can believe the next time it happens, I'll just go ahead and kite the thing. You can't do your job, run around like an idiot while I kite it like a boss.
I had a tank during a run insist I needed to hold back while a single non-crit void pulse would pull the boss. I started leaving combat, and my first cast after coming back into combat would pull. It was impossible to even DPS.
I've played now on my sorcerer and mystic for any number of runs now, and odd mechanics aside, there is no sensible reason for more than a momentary lapse in attention on the tank. You're on the other side of the boss casting, but pan around a bit. If you're pulling over and over, your tank is falling asleep on his right click for most of the fight.
tl;dr They're bad tanks. Keep up the DPS.
As a DPS you are also responsible for managing your aggro, if you have a crit streak and hit the boss for 5 or 6 crits in a row, take a second to weave in a mana regen ability, or simply re-position. Continuing to blast away like a fiend and possibly getting more crits will likely result in the boss turning on you. Sure the tank can taunt it back, but thats just you and taunts do have CDs. What if the other two DPS are doing the same thing? Then the boss goes buck wild.

Global LFG was implemented in WoW and removed at one point or another.
There are private channels for you and your idiot friends to chatter away in. Join a guild or party for your casual chatting purposes. I'd love to use LFG, but almost every line on a high population server is either something that should be filtered (if the word filter recognized anything sensible), personal insults between players, or just trolling.
If we want to pretend any of you would roll out without being given a global chat, keep in mind if I weren't already invested in the game, seeing the (default to on) LFG chat would have convinced me the game was full of channers/redditors and teens, and seriously made me reconsider my purchase.
LFG is a joke. The people chatting in it are a joke. There is no reason EME should leave it in any longer. It simply does not work for the intended function.
Want to fix it? Make it broadcast on an interval when people are using the LFG tool, and retool that to interact with the channel. No freeform anything. It turns out a section of the population can't be trusted. Who knew?
