myskaal's Post History

So I got this e-mail - I was indeed one of the ones billed immediately - but I don't fit the description of either scenarios listed in the e-mail. :/

Anyway, props EME for taking these steps.

Can I just say, though, I don't want a refund... I just want my free 30 days appended.

We worked hard to get these hair changes in but we just couldn't get them before the early character creation.

We have an idea to help those of you in need of a change. Details are coming soon (like today soon).

For folks who are wondering about whether there will be a way to change appearances. :)

Well designed forums form the base of a strong community.

EME - PLEASE put some people on your forum design and functionality. I feel like 1995 everytime I come here.

Horrible search function.
No jump to new post.
No subscribe.
No topic preview.
And I'm sorry but it just looks old. Dated. Not with the times for a discussion forum.

I feel like I'm on some text/story-based roleplay forum from the 90's. I'm sorry if that's a bit harsh but that is honestly the feeling I get every time I visit.

Some examples for possible inspiration ( these are not examples of colors and themes but tools, functions and layout design:

And I apologize for using another game, but honestly the SWTOR website has one of the absolute best forum designs and functionaltiy there is.

Good read, nice review.

Points I'd like to highlight for any EME people that may be perusing threads for feedback:

Guild leadership is trash. There aren't enough controls for one... and I guess it just left something to be desired. Other MMO's have much better guild controls and parameters.

Achievements are screwed. You level out of the quests before you can gain the achievement for them. We need to be able to go back and complete achievements at any level. Completionists everywhere are going to want them.

Gigantic resounding yes to both of the above.
Poor guy. Someone should tell him there's only 1 TotalBiscuit.
Day off. I keep staring at my desktop game icons trying to figure out which one to click and the only one I want to is TERA launcher.

But I'll probably play some Legend of Grimrock to pass time through the week.
Ahh while I really hate to jump in on a "omg plz change thissssss!!!" thread, I feel like I really should on this one. At least in regards to the repeatable suppression quests.

Just playing through the game with the questing, I took a couple of the suppression quests in the areas I was in. I was only ever to actually complete 2 because I out leveled the drops for them long before I could complete them.

It would be nice to see this changed and as others have said I'd be absolutely fine with there being no rewards for doing them after the currently required level to obtain/complete them. That way, if you want the achievement, you still have the option of going for it.

*Not jumping on the remove the server firsts idea, though.
Don't care if they're there. Someone else else gets 'em - fine. They are available to everyone to get. Whether you are able to get them or not due to your own personal restrictions is a different matter. Where-as, the repeatable quest achievements are rendered impossible to achieve by the game's experience reward.

Well i actually played on Arachnaea. The decline in population was noticable.

How the heck do you notice a decline in population over a beta weekend? lol?
Unless you mean from Sat/Sun - Monday... when people went back to work/school ...
Awww it's over :(

C'mon Saturday!
