Resubbing the game today and was thinking of starting a new class. I want to use a controller this time and was wondering if there were some classes that work better then others with a controller. First thing that came to mind is that there is a far less amount of buttons when I use a controller, is there a class that uses less skills?

I know that KB and M is more my style but I work two jobs and they both involve typing and computer work, so I'd like to give my wrists a break. Been playing consoles ever since I left Tera and getting pretty used to using a controller so thought it would be a good transition. Some friends said they were going to sub so I thought I would join in the fun, they are going to pick their classes based on my pick so I'm open to anything.

Played Mystic and Sorc in beta, rolled Zerk on release. Never got passed 35ish so I wouldn't mind playing those classes again. Thanks for any suggestions.

Title pretty much says it all. I'm pretty casual as I work 6 days a week 12 hours a day, so I only play during the morning times. I play around 3 hours a day. I'm not looking for a morning only guild or anything like that, just one that will have some people around during that time to chat, group, or pvp with. If you think that It'll be a nice fit for your guild please leave a message and I'll get back to you.

You basically filled out an app just by making that post.... Not all apps are full on interviews and require blood type, social security number and mothers maiden name.

Maybe there's a way but I couldn't find one. Please, for my sanity, stop playing the server wide messages for people getting +6. It's so easy to get don't know why it's there in the first place. At least add a way for us to turn it off, even if it sacrifices other announcements we might want to see.

WOW thanks for the links. I looked around a bit for some vids and didn't find much, which is why I posted here. I'm okay with not being able to solo BAMs as well as a melee. I play at some weird times and sometimes grouping is not an option. So soloing BAMs, even if a slow process is a good way to pass the time while I wait for something to happen.

So I've been playing a sorc on beta and been trying to solo BAMs to get used to playing the class. I've been having a hard time with some of them. Basilisks are no problem, same with minotaurs and Kadas. However I found that the lizard things in the forest (sorry forgot name), as well as a few others are semi-impossible (might just be my ability). So 2 questions:

1 - Are there any tips for soloing BAMs as a sorc?

2 - After 38 how many new types of BAMs are we going to find and are any of them harder for a sorc to solo?

I was wondering where someone can get the higher tier extraction recipes. I found the tier one stuff pretty quick from drops on the noob island, but I have never seen the recipe for the higher tiers. Is there a vendor somewhere that sells them? Or all just random drops? Thanks.

I seem to have issues with BAMs as well. Maybe I just have to learn a bit more to do them well but they give me trouble. Normals seem to be easy, the only thing I seem to have issues with is getting used to not using a large space to kill things. Really enjoying the class though.

I do agree that I rarely see sorcs around, but the CBT4 post said that there was a lot of them /shrug.

I was looking at the skill calculator and noticed that some of the glyphs have alternate versions that have the same effect but cost less points to use. Saw that they were level 58 version but I was wondering if they are still purchased at the vendor. If not, where are they from? Quests? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Awesome video, one of the better ones I've seen for sorc. Only thing is that that speed increase seemed way more then the percentages in NA. You said a total of 70% increase where the NA one is 30% with the glyph. KTera numbers maybe? Did I miss the part where you said that? Sorry if thats the case.

One question if you don't mind. Do the glyphs and the skills stack for animation speed? Meaning the 2 glyphs (time gyre and fireblast both increase speed) and Celerity. Thanks for the great video.
