semistasis's Post History

I go away for 2 months due to work keeping me from playing and the game was running just fine, no lag, no glitches, nothing that hinders me from performing at a above par level as a beserker.

Now 2 days after I am back i have played both days and all i experience is lags and glitches. Hitting and releasing any attack has a 2+ second delay, i get jumped around back and forth on a straight path of me trying to move forward, npcs dont always pop up their dialogue boxes when i talk to them, items cant be picked up or it tells me i cant pick up the item that was dropped off of a mob that i killed (and no one else is around me).

And the thing that is an even bigger kick in the pants is my wife plays with me (who literally sits 5 feet from me) and she experiences none of these things!

The only time either of us pretty much get frozen in place is during nexus events and the kicker to this all we arent even participating in the event, hell we arent even on the same continent that it takes place on and we get lagged out.

SO, i ask you, what is being done to fix this issue?

I recall templars more like some holy fiire sword shield fighter class

Not all templar fight sword and board, its more of a title than a class type but holy fire would be the theme for which their magic would thrive and I personally think that a mace and book would speak more about holy fire and justice than a Sword and Board Templar.

Its all personal preference of course, and you are correct that Sword and Shield Fighter class is the most common Templar known. I was just going outside the norm and offering a different type of Templar, especially since the game already has 4 melee based classes.
What about...

Templar

A plate wearing class that wields a holy book in one hand and a 1H mace in another.

Role will be magical ranged DPS / Support, it can offer healing, protection or damaging buffs and do small amounts of heals but not strong enough to be able to solo heal a dungeon.

It can activate 1 of 3 types of auras that would either increase healing received by party members, damage reduced to party members or damage increased for party members, all of which can stack up to 5 times at 5% intervals ( so it would be 5% / 10% / 15% / 20% / 25% ) and you get stacks by the Templar dealing magical damage, buff will last as long as the Templar keeps up his attacks.

The Templar will also have abilities that heal a % of the damage dealt from their attacks to anyone with in a certain range of the Templar, lets say 15 meters.

That would be my idea for a magical plate wearer.

Probably trolling....

But if this is serious you can thank the WoW community for making MMO's like this....

WoW was a breath of fresh air, it took the EQ concept of questing and expanded on it. Do you know how MMO's were before EQ/WoW? Yeah, they were a massive grind with little to no quests. Nothing wrong with that, I quite enjoy grinding myself, but I guess 90-95% of gamers don't.

WoWs questing system is just as bad as this one, the only difference is that in this game i actually feel like i am a part of the combat, and even at the release of EQ / WoW you still had grinding to do. You can't sit there and say you got to max level on either of those games without having to grind out 4-8 levels through out your quest to the top.

But that system NOW, the levels are just given to you and has you skipping over entire areas from other expansions. It is really pathetic how much content is just ignored once a new expansion comes out.

It is just a way for people to give a "Kudos" kind of thumbs up to the guild.
