There are many videos on youtube of BAMs and I suggest watching a few of those to answer your question. I made one recently that has 3 BAMs in it. The first 2 I kill with a party and the 3rd one I solo just for fun :D

But yeah, basically they're monsters that are like bosses as in they have high hp, hit very hard, and are hard to knock down. Although one difference they have from bosses is that they spawn regularly in certain areas rather than bosses that usually have a rare/limited spawn like world bosses or instance bosses. The drops and exp are pretty nice. Since they spawn regularly they're viable for grinding - VERY FUN grinding may I add.

It's not really about role play, it's more about logic. Anyway, no stealth for this class... or in this game for that matter lol.

Haven't seen many things on GW2 yet so no comment there.

The reason it sounds like a Paladin is because my original idea was this but more paladin/holy themed. I changed it because Paladins are too common in MMOs so I thought arcane stuff would be a better choice for Tera. That's also why I have light armor as the possible armor type, Paladins usually use plate so maybe a cross between melee and mage should use light (not cloth though)

I posted this in the Ninth Class thread (I've changed it since then though) but I felt like making my own thread to talk about this one ONLY. If you have your own idea please post it elsewhere. HOWEVER, if you have a suggestion for this class as in balancing it or something post it here. If I like it I'll edit it in.

Class: Knight*
Armor: Plate or Light (haven't decided yet)
Weapon: 1 handed mace, offhand- see below
Roles: DPS *or* Tank, NOT BOTH

The attack speed would be medium, kinda between warrior and berserker. Attacks and skills with mace would create arcane orbs then uses a stack of 1-10 orbs to conjure either a shield or some kind of magic item in the offhand. Depending on which one you create you will have a set of skills for that item.

Shield will have defense/agro bonuses and ability to block/counterattack and a few other skills useful for tanking (taunts, damage reduction, etc.). The amount you can block depends on how many orbs you used in the first place to make the shield, once you pass that threshold you must conjure another shield. Also, the shield would be made of arcane energy and look friggin' sweet.

"Magical offhand item" will have attack bonuses and magic abilities (melee range mostly). It could also provide some buffs to your group if you spend the mana + orbs for it. The "weapon" will disappear after you use a certain amount of skills or after a certain amount of time depending on how many orbs you used when you conjured it.

The cool thing about this class would be that while it could tank or dps, it wouldn't be too powerful while tanking and it wouldn't be able to tank while dpsing.

Post ideas for skills and attack mechanics for this class. Maybe we can make a list of actual skills with descriptions and stuff. This could be a lot of fun :D

TL;DR- Paladin with a hammer, able to conjure either a shield or tome in offhand with use of holy orbs. Shield used for tanking, Tome used for DPS.

Please reply with thoughts or suggestions to this idea. This is probably never going to be made a reality but it's still fun to imagine it happening. Also take in to consideration that I thought this up just a minute ago lol (I know it seems similar to a WoW Paladin's holy power bar)
