the box pairs with a premium item you would need to pay for. it's more a less a subtle marketing ploy reminding you that you could be getting more by paying money :D-I{-
ok the first 2:30 were enough for me to get the point ;P like they said, this isn't exactly groundbreaking.
the first game i can remember getting hacked worldwide was the original diablo bnet where you could use a game genie -ish tool/trainer to do all sorts of things to make the game incredibly imbalanced and / or easy. for some people this is fun (and i think maybe having an open more 'liberal' server for ppl that want to experiment that way is cool)
also games like asheron's call, ultima, eq, lineage type games never seemed to suffer from hacking / exploit issues on the level that WoW has (or had)

can't seem to pull up the preview in game or in ah.... is there any place someone has posted the costumes in decent model or detail ?
yeah so anyone who has bought a physical/online copy of the game since its release SHOULD be able to log in from now until the "freedom" (chaos) begins?

insert obvious reasons i'm upset that a year of not only working my butt off in game, but supported enmasse directly from their launch like many of you did by purchasing a founders copy and getting a silly mount and skin that nobody really could give a hoot about because it disguises all other unique looking aspects of your character.
i hope they can make this transition successfully but if you think that a few bank slots and whatever "events" you can throw in during the next day are sufficient to make up to the people you are snubbing by making us f2p.
i joined tera because i wanted to be FREE OF SPAMMERS, FREE OF BOTTERS, free of underage players etc. and even if that meant less people it would mean a more rewarding game experience with mature teenagers, adults, and young adults instead a bunch of copy pasted ascii characters and faces for a non native language that pry shouldn't even exist on the server to begin with but do because the people with cash to burn just assume buy the farmed gold/premade characters and in the process clog up the legit players, mess up our economy, and risk creating additional hostility in the aspects of the game that don't thrive from it. i never paid any attention to teras political system (just not my fav thing about the game so never learned it) but i can only imagine how the guild founders and elected are feeling about this.
come on enmasse, you can do us something better than you're currently offering up. doing basic math here i'm seeing that those of us who purchased the game at launch and paid ore membership dues are like in the 200 range at least i'm thinking. so its just really.... not.... cool.

first, very big THANK YOU to "Vorfeed" who is the only person out of both EME staff/Tera Europe Forums to nail this very irritating issue on the head.
basically the initial problem of launcher not loading wasn't rectified with a re/dl and install. it simply created the same installation and not letting the tera-launcher launch in vista.
this was fixed by simply disabling your network adapter from
Vista Control Panel > Device Manager > Network (temporarily DISABLE not uninstall all network devices listed)
Load tera launcher (should show up this time!)
tab back to device manager and reenable the devices that were disabled, wait a few moments and click the reconnect button within the tera launcher and allow it to retrieve and patch correctly.
i guess this is just something that spratically happens inbetween updates because like i said, have only had this problem twice since beta. I'm honestly not sure how the hell i fixed it the first time but again, the only working solution was from the wise "Voorfeed" of our forums here

yeah i'll send in a diag but have already gone through the motions with live tech support =/
Basically as it stands now : tera went from working perfect to not being able to start the launcher this week
since then, uninstalled and reinstalled (2 separate times)
happy cloud gets the game fully downloaded to 99% (after a few hours) and then says it's launching the game but obviously that never happens.
i tried to download it via the tera-setup downloader hosted on the en masse website and the 80 mb installer is simply not hosted (downloads at 200 bps or something insane like that) and impossible to download.
so yeah... obviously i have done sys restore rescanned for malware/etc. but my comp is in perfect working order... just doesn't seem to be compatible with whatever the hell happened in the last week? : (
i'll try a support ticket but my issue is a bit too weird and specific i'm doubtful anyone will be able to help.
now that i've got the game fully downloaded by happycloud, is there a way to try and locate the location it saved everything and maybe i can try running the launcher with admin privleges or something? i know it saves in some weird location cant remember it on my C:\

nah it's totally screwed, went to 99 percent last night and is still there after many hours today.
the other hilarious thing is that you can't even download "terasetup.exe" anymore from their website (at least for the last 2 days ive tried) like... for real ? :/
im gonna give it a break, try one more time tomorrow. and if not i'm getting this weeks subscription price back and entering the scary world of finding a new mmo which is sad considering how much i liked tera

Ok so i've been playing tera since right out of beta. i've had a few quirky issues (usually during updates/patches) where i've had to complete uninstall/reinstall. I realize that this comes with the territory of owning a 5 year old-miracle it's still alive franken-pc desktop. However, the game plays pretty fine when it will actually start.
I am not here complaining that teras updates and patches dont work properly on Vista SP1, as i'm probably the only person in the world still using it. But i don't understand why we have to use this happycloud installer. Anyway i've been unable to even start the tera launcer since i got back from vacation a few days ago, i ran an uninstall and redownloaded tera using the happy cloud last night.
now i'm showing "downloading tera 99%" which is interesting because when i click in the program it says its downloaded 26572/26572 MB . I tried pause/resume and system restart to no avail. It will say it's launching the program "screen may flicker starting program this may take a moment" but the game never launches and the happycloud stays open.
my poor hard drive probably wont be able to withstand more instances of this game being partially un/reinstalled so i'm trying to figure out what i'm missing here.
running the launcher with administrative compatibility doesnt help either :(
