vanir's Post History

I making this post here since I do not see a crafting section of the forums.
So far I have to say that I am having a great time with this game and enjoy alot of the aspects concerning it.
My only two real complaints that I feel needs to be addressed before launch ( low lvl so perhaps there or more issues later on). Concerns the crafting aspect.
1. The component cost for low level crafting recipes is to high. I spent no money at a vendor for anything on the island of dawn and saved up all I earned except skills and I still did not have enough money to even get 1 craft skill up to the point of making something lvl equivalent due to component cost.
I am sure someone will say "well money is easy when you get higher lvl", but what is the point of having a lower tier of crafting then besides skill ups and alts? I for one love crafting in mmo's and making my character his gear as he lvls. Granted thats me and others propably disagree.

2. Leatherworker seems to be shafted compared to the other crafting skills due to main material drop (dawnhide). I kill everything in my path between quest hubs and towards quest creatures and I still only had 6 pieces of dawnhide after clearing the first area of quests in lumbertown. That is compared to my 200 kryo ore, sun essence so on and so on.
Hopefully not and bring the shops back.
Btw Cyroselle may I ask if you guild will be recruiting for startup and what server?
Thank you, for all the responses.
That they have discussed guild housing and seemed to have the zone setup for it already is a great sign and definitely makes me a bit less skeptical. Originally the combat system is what caught my attention on this game when I first heard about it and signed up, but I know that unless I have something to do at endgame besides pvp and dungeons then I get a bit bored. The vanarch system looks interesting and with that I was hoping additional sandbox elements. With them seeming to be in play and in the process looking forward to this game even more.
So I have beta tested a number of new games in the past few years and will give this one a go as well. Here is my concern before I even consider a pre order.
Does this game have any endgame sandbox besides the political system? A ton of games over the years have had new and fun innovative ideas, then I get to end game and have a max cha with the best gear. Run hardmodes, do pvp and bored in a few months of getting it. Then just continue playing eq2.
So are there any ingame houses, guild halls or any other sandbox customizable features or will I expect the before mentioned scenario?
