Sry, when people talk about things completely irrelevant to what I was originally talking about, it gives me the impression that I'm being ignored.
That's not even remotely close to what I'm talking about. I'm talking about playstyles in pvp. Not groups, not popularity, frankly I'm surprised you even came to such a conclusion given that my post isn't even that long or complicated.
Which of the two healers is more of an active class in pvp? That is to say, which of them has to do more stuff in order to win?
I suppose one way of describing what I'm asking is which is the one that has more complexity involved in their pvp playstyle?

Pretty much hit the nail on the head. The reason I'm asking is because I want to play a warrior, but I am acutely aware of how long dungeon queues are for dps classes and was thinking about queueing as a warrior tank. But I'm also aware that lancers have an easier time tanking than warriors do and are also preferred in groups. Regardless, I'll probably queue as a warrior tank in low levels and see how it goes.
I feel the reason they asked this was mostly about instance matchmaking times. I mean, that's a pretty good way to get an idea of class distribution.
As a lancer you have and probably always will get a near-instant queue time because they are just in such high demand. Though I suppose mystics are also pretty rare, but the thing is, there are lots of priests, so the "healer" slot is a lot easier to fill.
Generally speaking people play tanks/healers less. Most people WANA DO BIG DAAAAAMAGE and get scared of having the responsibility of keeping your party alive. Though, they just call this "boring" instead of "I'm too scared to play a hard class".

just curious, which class is the most played and which is the least played?

Well in the videos I watched the warriors seemed to be surviving just fine in assault stance. That's something I never got about people when they talk about survivability, you have a game where it's main selling point is a combat system that requires manual targetting and gives abilities that allow you to dodge attacks, so you'd figure the survivability would constitute players being good and dodging skills and having good reflexes. Who on earth even cares about survivability through stats if you're good enough to dodge with your own two hands?
Maybe I'm just being naive, I haven't really seen pvp so there's probably some aspect I'm missing.

I'm not really seeing why people are saying warrs have low damage, every video i've seen that's come out in the last month has shown warriors doing decent (sure its not over the top high) and respectable damage. So they have CC, survivability and decent damage. I'm sorry, how does this make warriors bad in pvp?
well as long as we're on the subject of what classes are like, what's lancer pvp like?
